Chapter 16

Pratigya kept staring into Krishna's eyes, she was lost in them like he was in hers; they both were not aware of the situation. I never realised but Krishna is very handsome.

She then heard a noise coming from the side. Pratigya turned her face as did Krishna and they found Arushi and Komal staring at them in shock.

Did they have to come now? Pratigya thought They always come at the wrong time.

Krishna quickly got off from the bed, she also got up in a jiff. Oh no, she regretted it because she started feeling dizzy again. She was feeling sick literally; felt like puking and had a really bad headache now. Krishna noticed this and grabbed her fast before Pratigya fell.

'Watch yourself, are you okay? Lie back down' Krishna helped her lie back down on the bed, and put her under the covers.

As he was doing do, Komal and Arushi came closer, 'Di what happened to you, Kisne kiya ye? Bhai?' She looked shocked and pushed Krishna out of the way to sit down next to Pratigya. Arushi came and sat down on the other side of Pratigya.

'Nahi aisa...' Pratigya tried to speak but she couldn't, her head was aching. She couldn't concentrate. She looked up at Krishna with an apologetic look; Komal looked at her brother at the same time as well.

'Bhai I did not expect this from you? You hit di?' Pratigya could tell that Komal was upset and angry.

No no no not again. Shut up Komal already. Pratigya wanted to say alot of things to Komal right now but her head was not working straight.

'Komal please its not...'She tried again but this time Komal interrupted

'Please di, i don't know why you take bhai's side all the time. Look at what he did to you...gosh so sick. Di please rest now, me and Arushi will be back later.'

Pratigya forgot about Arushi, she looked over at her, she had tears in her eyes. Pratigya wiped them away and was about to talk when Komal interruptd again,

'Arre bhai kaha gaya...aaj mein nahi chodugi' Komal and Arushi stalked off.

It was happening all over again, problems are going to be created between me and Krishna. Dammit.

She tried getting up but she didn't have the strength in her anymore. She needed to talk to Krishna, badly. She saw his reaction, he looked deeply hurt. I really hope he does not blame me.

She suddenly noticed Komal's phone on the bed. She must have left it here. She reached over and grabbed the phone and flicked through it and easily found Krishna's number under Bhai. She saved the number on her phone and rang him. After about 5 rings he picked up.

'hello?'

'Krishna' Pratigya has said wekly.

'Pratigya, is that you? What happened, are you alright? Do you want me to call the doctor?'

Why is he showing so much concern for a stranger? Pratigya thought, it was making her happy for some reason.

She cleared her throat, 'Oh no no, I am okay, just got a headache and feeling weak but im alright besides that...a little rest will fix it' She paused, 'Where are you, You just went away without saying anything?'

He was quite for a while, like he was thinking of how to answer her question, 'Oh yes, I am out with some friends, you seemed busy so i thought it was best to leave you alone.'

Pratigya didn't belive that one bit, but she was not blaming him at all, ' I am so sorry Krishna...about Komal's reaction, I tried to tell her but she would not listen to me at all.. Infact I will go tell her now, I promise'

She was about to gt up when Krishna said no, 'No, what you need to do is rest not to clear a little stupid problem, I will discuss with Komal after I get back. Dont worry about it, you sleep for a few hours. I will talk to you later'

She was about to hang up, when she remembered ' Oh yeah, this is my number, save it'

'Okay – now go to sleep, take care.'

'Bye' Pratigya put her phone down on the desk table next to the bed. She now felt slightly content after talking to Krishna. She got underneath the covers, sniffed them because they smelt so fresh and gradually fell in to a deep slumber.

Krishna stood there in shock, as komal pushed him out of the way – she was blaming him again and he didn't even do anything wrong this time. Why dos Komal blame me for everything bad that happens?

He looked at Pratigya, he could tell she was trying to explain to Komal, but Komal was not listening to her at all. Ofcourse I don't blame Pratigya for anything, Komal has a big mouth.

He thought it would be best if he left from there for now; he could check on Pratigya later on, when she was feeling better. He left quietly so no one would notice.

Krishna ended up going to the hangout, he checked the time to see it was after 5pm now. Tunna was probably after some girl right now and Chandu reached home from work.

He wanted to talk to someone, but he didn't bother Tunna and Chandu as they would have repeated the same thing. Krishna bhai you are in love...yea right! Krishna thought sarcastically.

Suddenly he remembered what happened between himself and Pratigya; before Komal interrupted. He accidently fell on Pratigya; he definitely was not expecting that to happened; neither did Pratigya.

I can't deny the fact that I did feel something, it felt different and special. I wonder if she felt it as well. Is this what people call love, or is it lust?

Krishna's thoughts were interrupted by a phone call; he didn't recognise the number. When he picked up he found out it was Pratigya. Why is she phoning me, Is everything alright? However, she just wanted to know where he was.

She sounds so worried for me; i don't think anyone has ever been that worried for me before. His own thoughts made him smile. He talked to her for the next few minutes and told her to rest and that he would meet her later.

As soon as he put his phon down, he realised Tunna and Chandu were standing right in front of him. Oh shit, hope they didn't hear....hope they didn't hear, though he could tell by their expressions that he was wrong.

Tunna was first to speak, 'Ka bhai, sab kuch theek chal raha hai na...bhabhi kesi hai?' They both had huge smiles on their faces, showing there pearly whites.

Dammit, how annoying can friends get? Krishna thought, though he felt like laughing. Even if they are annoying they know how to make me happy.

Chandu was next to speak 'ha bhai bolo na...'

They waited for him to speak; he had a reluctant expression on his face but finally decided to tell them about what happened today.

He mentioned the 'talk' which turned in to an arguement, the laughing, the incident with her falling and with Komal and Arushi coming in at the wrong moment. Both Tunna and Chandu stood there silently absorbing Krishna's every word.

He didn't know how long they were quiet for, he kept staring at them. They had no expression on their face and then Chandu spoke up..

'Bhai seriously...your life is a drama man! Hahaha ab definite pata laga that you atleast care about Pratigya'

Krishna started thinking that Chandu and Tunna were right all this time, and that he is falling for Pratigya, but how can he tell them that. He has never liked a girl like this before, not this serious! He could see that both of them were staring at him intensely and silently, waiting for a reply.

'No..i mean, yes..umm i think i do' Krishna, for the first time admitted he as feelings for a girl.

Chandu and Tunna were both shocked. Chand staring at Krishna with his mouth gaping wide open and Tunna, pretended to faint; they could not believe their ears.

Krishna laughed at their reaction, 'kya hua?'

Tunna quickly got up, still not believing his word, 'bhai aap ne abhi kya kaha?'

'Jo tumn suna' Krishna replied with a genuine smile on his face.

Tunna startd jumping up and down, 'OMG ye pehli baar hua he jab Krishna Thakur Sajjan Singh ne kisi ladki ko pyar kiya'

Chandu and Krishna looked at him like he had lost his marbles, which made Tunna realise what he was doing.

Embarrassed by what he had done, Tunna suddenly stopped; trying to act cool he quickly pulls up his collar and says,

'umm wo mein mazaak kar raha taa..sach mein'

Chandu and Krishna laughed at him, 'Yea sure Tunna.Whatever you say' Chandu turned to Krishna, 'Bhai when are you going to tell her?'

'I don't know, i don't think i should tell her'

'Kyu?' Tunna and Chandu questioned at the same time.

'yaar uska koi boyfriend he to?'

Chandu and Tunna started thinking, when Tunna came up with the idea to simply ask her.

'lekin kese aise poochu??? OH hello pratigya how are you, do you have a boyfriend? Because if you don't i want to be him?! kitna stupid sound karta hai' It doesn't make any sense at all.'

'No bhai, aisa koi puchta hai? Hahaha. Pehle conversation start karo, fir dheere dheere conversation unke personal life ke bare me pucho...haina simple'

'yes i guess so, lekin fir bhi...it will be awkward!'

'Dont worry about it bhai, just go and tell ask her as soon as possible'

'No abhi nahi. Baad mein, wo sau rahi hogi, kuch ghante baad jauga.' I will hang out with the boys for a few hours, and then i'll go
