pratigya tum aa gayi??----her father called out to her as soon as she returned home,tired.. she turned back and was surprised to see few more people sitting and gossiping with her father...they luked like some guests.... her father walked over to her and took her hand....
pratigya did nt like this...she was dead tired and wanted to rest-----kya hua papa?
shyam ji-----beta idhar aao hum tumhe kisise milwana chahte hain....
pratigya------abhi?
shyam jiu------aao na.... he pulled her by the hand.....she realised that he wud nt listen so gave up and walked with him to the guests.... he introduced her to his frnd jagmohan,pratigya folded her hands in a namastey and smiled formally...
he smiled back-----pratigya beta....bht suna hain tumhare bare mein.....tum to ek mashoor model ho...
pratigya----thnks uncle...nhi...mashoor nhi hain hum...bas those chote mote assignments ki hain....
jagmohan introduced her to his son,nitin...whu was sitting there like a statue------pratigya beta ye mera beta hain,nitin....london se MBA karke ayah ain....yahan mere business mein mujhe help kar raha hain....
pratigya held out her hand formally towards him------hiiii....

before she cud say anything shyam ji walked away quickly.... pratigya sat down on the sofa,unwillingly... she felt dead bored..... while she sat down,as her frock was too short,it went up a little,revealing her beautiful thighs... the conscious pratigya pulled it down instantly bt noticed nitin gazing at it with wide eyes.... the expression in his eyes irritated her so much that she got up immediately.....

shyam ji became furious at her... he had fixed her engagement with nitin becoz it was vry profitable for both of their families... shyam ji wanted to expand his business bt did nt have sufficient resources for it...hence this plan...if pratigya married nitin,both of their companies will merge together and thus shyam ji will have wat he wanted..without spending much frm his own pocket.... jagmohan had happily agreed... nitin wanted to meet pratigya once and so shyam ji had invited him to their house.. he had told his father that he liked her..hence shyam ji decided that now nit was the ryt time to inform pratigya....bt to his biggest disappointment,she refused.....
shyam ji at frst tried to make her understand calmly-----pratigya tum aisa kyun keh rahi ho? nitin ek accha ladka hain.....woh tumse bht pyaar karega aur uske paas kya nhi hain.....woh is kabil hain ki tumhe duniya ki har khushi de sake aur ek baap hone ke natir hum yehi chahenge ki hamari beti khush rahe....hamesha...
pratigya shot her answer promptly-----papa agr ye sirf hamari khusi ke liye hoti to hum aapse kuch nhi kehte bt this is nt for my happiness at all...it is for ur BUSINESS SHIT.....

pratigya-----chillaiye mat papa......humne wohi kaha jo sach hain....aap us ladke se hamari shaadi karwana chahte hain na? woh ladka jo hume thk se janta bhi nhi....aapko kya lagta hain usne humse shaadi karne ke liye kyun razi ho gaya? huh? coz am a good packaged material...aur saath saath uske ghar mein lakshmi bhi laungi.....bas sirf isiliye...papa aapne dekha nhi woh kistarah.......i mean...kistarah......hamari taraf....chee!!!!

pratigya was shocked to see her father,her own father behaving with her in this manner for an outsider...she said sarcastically-----wah!! papa....iska matlab aap apna waada bhul gaye....

shyam ji laughed------are beta to ismein kaunsi badi baat hain.....wo to tum shaadi ke baad bhi kar sakti ho....beta humne alredy jagmohan se baat kar li hain iske bare mein....unlogo ko,yahan tak ki nitin ko bhi isse koi prblm nhi hain......
pratigya bit her lower lip...she cudnt thnk of any other excuse to reject the proposal...her father had closed all the doors for her...she was trapped.... the thought of her own father betraying her like this brot tears to her eyes bt she controlled herself....for the frst time in her life she didn't break down.....this was becoz her sadness was much less as compared to the anger she felt inside her heart......she felt badly cheated....
shyam ji waited for her to say something...wen she didn't he cleared his throat and said-------thk hain beta....to fir hum baat age badaye? aab tumhari taraf se koi prblm to nhi hain na?
pratigya just nodded her head... shyam ji heaved a sigh of relief to get this thng done so easily..it had seemed almost impossible to him to convince her..... he whispered a small "god bless u"and walked out of the room,leaving pratigya alone,struggling with her wounded emotions.....

the student nodded his head,meaning NO.... pratigya had kept on asking this question to almost each and everyone starting frm the college campus...bt didn't get a single hopeful reply.....
she became impatient------aaj to hume usse baat karni hi padegi.....kuch bhi ho...
the day after tomorrow was her engagement with nitin...evrythng was fixed...before that she wanted to talk to krishna just for once... she just wanted to know whether he had any feelings for her or not...whether he felt the same of wat she felt abt him...she just wanted to be sure that she wasn't daydreaming....and if it was true...she wud break the engagement at any cost....she cud nvr accept anyone else as her husband other than krishna...nvr....she LOVED him........
she searched for him frantically,in all the corridors...peeped into almost each and evry class...evn checked the canteen bt he was nowhere.... suddenly she remembered the staffroom..she had totally forgotten abt it.....
she arranged her hair and her dress properly...after all it was the staffroom...any other professors were also supposed to be there apart frm krishna... she waited for sometime outside the door and took a deep breath...and then she knocked slowly on the door of the staffroom....
no reply.....
she knocked agen,this time a little harder......still no reply....
pratigya------staffroom mein bhi koi nhi hain?
she pushed the door slightly....it opened with a creaking noise... she peeped in...no...noone was there... her heart sank and she turned away..bt suddenly stopped as she heard someone sobbing quietly.... she became curious and stepped inside.....
it was a big room...and full of wall racks...stuffed with various books... she walked over to the corner frm where the sobbing sounds were coming.... she noticed something behind a rack and headed towards it... wat she saw there made her freeze instantly.....
krishna stood near the wall...with none other than NANDINI GUPTA whose face was all wet due to the continuously flowing tears frm her eyes.... her face was partially hidden in his hands which she held tightly and sobbed while krishna tried to console her.... pratigya cudnt make out properly wat they were saying bt she caught few wrds like "just for once","plzz","why","i cnt live"......these came out frm nandini's lips while wrds like "of course","why not","always" and "same here"....came out frm krishna's..... she didn't hve a single doubt in understanding wat they were talking abt..... her hands and feet started to sweat....she held onto the wall rack tightly...and put one hand over her mouth to stop herself frm crying out loudly......
krishna nvr loved me....-----she thot------he nvr did.......it was only ME.....only ME....nothng was there frm HIS side.......i hate myself......how cud i evr thnk of it? how cud i depend on him so much.......a person whu was a complete stranger to me some days ago? how?
she had wished to leave the place silently bt her destiny had planned something else....accidentally her head hit the rack as she turned and some of the books came crashing down on the floor... this was enough to attract krishna and nandini's attention whu turned at her immediately,with shocked expressions on their faces....especially on krishna's....
pratigya....tum.....yahaan?-----he looked so puzzled and confused.... pratigya glanced at nandini.. she wiped her tears immediately and moved away frm krishna....she looked extreamely embarrassed at getting caught....
krishna walked up to her,an irritated expression on his face...his voice was low yet sharp as he spoke to her------tum yahan kya kar rahi ho pratigya...tumhe istarh yahan nhi ana chahiye tha....
pratigya-------am really sorry sir.....humse bht bari galti ho gayi ki humne aap donoi ko disturb kiya....
krishna------kya?
pratigya felt her voice getting choked due to her tears....she cudnt help it as the corners of her eyes welled up and her vision got somewhat blurred....still she looked straight into his eyes and said-----bht bari Galati ho gayi hain humse......pata nhi humse aisa kaise soch liya.....ke aap........aap aur.........nhi....... she controlled herself and gulped....
krishna-------pratigya ye tum kya keh rahi ho? hume kuch samajh mein nhi aaraha hain...aur tum...tum ro kyun rahi ho? ek min... he turned back and signalled something to nandini whu smiled back in return.... then he took pratigya's arm and said-----chalo....bahar jake baat karte hain.....
pratigya released herself with a jerk and shouted at him-----hume aapse koi baat nhi karni.....suna aapne? hume jo kuch bhi dekhna tha hum dekh chuke hain...aur jo sunna tha sun chuke hain....abhi hume aur kuch nhi sunna...... she ran out.....crying bitterly.....
krishna,unable to understand wat happened ran behind her.... she crossed the corridor..and reached the ladies room...she was abt to enter it wen krishna caught her arm and made her turn around to face him.....she struggled to be free bt his grip was strong.....
pratigya-----plzzz chodiye hume...aap yesab kyun kar rahe hain....?
krishna----TUM ye sab kyun kar rahi ho? pehle ye batao tum staffroom mein kya kar rahi thi...? kyat um nhi janti waha sirf professors allowed hain...aur students ko waha bina permission ken hi ana chahiye....
pratigya said in a hissing voice------jante hain hum.....lekin hum ye nhi jante the ki staffroom ko aaplog apna private bedroom bana chuke hain.....agr pata hota to kabhi nhi jate hum wahan!!!!
krishna was shocked at her indecent reply...not a single wrd came to his lips....
pratigya------bht bhasan de rahe the na aap usdin ki aapko pyaar par viswas nhi hain wagera wagera...to yesab kya hain haan? do din bhi nhi hua aap apne usulon ko bhul gaye? aab aapko darn hi laga nandini mam ke kareeb jate hue? huh?
krishna felt deeply hurt at her wrds....he had nvr expected that such a sweet,understanding and innocent grl like pratigya cud react so violently....
he tried to say------pratigya...u r misunderstanding me.....
she stopped him in between------yup,u r ryt.....i misunderstood u......u r a fraud and a cheat......and.....and.......i fell into ur trap.......how cud i? she tugged at the ends of her hair in frustration.....
it was too much for krishna to tolerate...rage started to boil inside him....he looked around him...there was nobody nearby..... he grabbed her arm and pushed open the door of the ladies room and before pratigya cud say anything or protest,he pulled her inside with him and locked the door.... he was now alone with her inside the washroom.... pratigya's eyes grew wide in terror as she saw him stepping towards her slowly....she stepped back------krishna...t...tum....kya rahe ho..... her voice trembled as she saw his eyes,they were burning in anger....
krishna-----so...am a fraud....a cheat...ryt? let me show u now wat i AM....
pratigya-----krishna plzz.....let me go......or else...
krishna------or else...or else wat?
pratigya felt the wall behind her as she took her last step backwards...krishna moved closer to her and pinned her hands on the wall.....she closed her eyes.....her whole body trembled as she felt his hard structure crushed so tightly against her that she found it hard to breathe.....
krishna------tum samajhti kya ho apne aap ko? kisi ke bare bina kuch soche samjhe kuch bhi bolti ho...? ekbaar bhi nhi sochti ki tumhari baton ka uspar kya asar hoga? haan?
he tightened his grip around her wrists as she started struggling once more....
krishna-----tumhari baatein teer ki tarah chubhti hain hume...... janti ho kyun??? becoz I LOVE U DAMN IT.....
pratigya shot up her eyes and looked at him in sheer disbelief....of course she did nt believe him....that also after seeing him and nandini mam together..... bt as she stared into his eyes....she felt her heart warming upto him....his expression was sincere and it didn't seem to her that he was lying.....
pratigya-----tum jhut bol rahe ho.....tumne khud kaha tha ki tumhe pyaar par bharosa nhi hain.....
krishnareleased her and turned away-------jante hain hum....humne hi tumse ye sab kaha tha....ye sach hain pratigya ki hum kabhi nhi chahte the ki hum kisise pyaar kare ya fir koi humse...lekin ye sab hamare marzi se nhi huya hain....hum bina chahe tumahri taraf khiche chale gaye.....and....and......i fell in love with u.....
although pratigya wanted to believe his wrds bt her conscience stopped her...she took up the subject------to fir wo sab kyat ha....abhi abhi humne tumhe nandini mam ke saath staffroom mein.....
krishna------nandini ka divorce honewala hain.....
pratigya was shocked-----nandini mam ki shaadi ho chuki hain?
krishna------haan....uski shaadi bhi ho chuki hain aur uske husband divorce case bhi file kar chuka hain....she has broken down totally.....
pratigya fumbled for wrds bt she felt so ashamed of herself that she cudnt say anything....
krishna continued-----hum jante hain ki hume aur nandini ko lekar yahan ek purani gossip chalu hain....pichle saal prom nyt par woh hamare saath thi...aur isiliye sab sochte hain that we r seeing each other bt its wrong.....we r just frnds....nandini kisi aur se pyaar karti thi aur usise shaadi kar li hain...bt now..her husband is done off with her and he is planning to throw her away in the dustbin....that bus***d.... aur isiliye hum use samjha rahe jab tum waha achanak chali ayi..... aur pata nhi tumne kya soch liya......
he clenched his fingers into fists and hit the wall hard.. pratigya almost jumped up in fright.....
krishna------hum bilkuol sahi the....this thng called LOVE involves only frustration,anger,prblms and last bt nt the least BETRAYAL...... humne bht samjhaya tha nandini ko...itni jaldi kisipar bharosa na karne ke liye...bt she didn't listen.....so heres the result...just in frnt of her eyes....
pratigya spoke up after a long time------aisa nhi hain krishna.....just becoz nandini mam aur tumhare dad ke zindagi mein unhe pyaar ke badle mein dhokha mila hain....iska ye matlab to nhi that u will also hve to face the same?
krishna turned at her,his face still red due to his anger------hume dhokha MIL chuka hain pratigya..... he pointed at her------U misunderstood me,my love and ABUSED me....hamare liye ye kafi hain tumse sare rishte todne ke liye.....
pratigya felt as if the floor beneath her feet had slipped away....she at once became cold in fear.... how cud she tell him that she loved him too...so much that she wud probably die without him.....
krishna was abt to open the door wen she ran to him and caught his hand------krishna!!!
he turned-------kuch aur kehna baki hain? c'mon out with it...am in all ears....
pratigya------istarah bahar mat jao...
krishna smiled sarcastically-----dnt wry....tumhe koi kuch nhi kahega...aur raha sawal hamare image ka....to log yehi kahenge na ki krishna sir ko ladies washroom se bahar ate hue dekha gaya hain? well...i care a damn....tum bas yahaan kuch der aur ruk jana....okay? bye.....
she blocked his way and slammed herself against the door,facing him------tum istarah nhi jaa sakte.....
krishna------kyun pratigya? aab kyun rok rahi ho tum hume.....?
pratigya took a deep breath and said-------hamari shaadi tay ho gayi hain.....
his face became pale at frst...bt just for a few moments.....it became normal agen as he smiled----wow!!! congrats....
pratigya------is shaadi ko rokne ke liye hum kuch bhi kar sakte hain....yahan tak apni JAAN BHI DE SAKTE HAIN........
krishna looked at her,stunned......he didn't reply.... pratigya took this chance..... she threw her arms around his neck and held him tightly.....then she whispered into his ears-------i love u too krishna aur hum tumhare bina nhi jee sakte......
it took a few more seconds for krishna to react....he gave up to his heart and wrapped his arms around her....clutching her tightly.... pratigya moved away a little frm him...to look at his face..... she closed her eyes as he bent down his face slowly............bt moved away instantly as someone thumped hard on the door....
pratigya jumped away too,her face grew pale as she heard someone saying-----uuff...ye darwaza andar se kisne band kiya? kholooo!!! some more thumps....
krishna put his fingers on his lips...signalling her to keep quiet... the thumping stopped after few minutes as the grl walked away in disgust... pratigya heaved a sigh of relief and whispered to krishna-----tum abhi niklo yahanse...warna hum zaroor pakde jayenge...
krishna------itni jaldi? apna adhura kaam to pura karne do....
pratigya pushed him playfully as he crept closer to her------jao...... she said...
he smiled as he unlocked the door and went out..... pratigya threw her hands up in the air and giggled.... she was soooooo happy.... now she did nt fear anyone at all...she knew that krishna wud thnk of some way all ryt.....

to her relief he just pulled up the chain of her kurti wich had fallen down...he pulled it up slowly,his fingers bringing a ticklish sensation inside her as they touched her bare skin...... she pushed herself more against him....to feel the soothing warmth of his body as well as to stop herself frm shaking.....
