Cuz I am bored, and want something to do, forgive me if its not that great...since i am not so much in the mood. :)
Part 3
The car ride back was completely silent. There was so much tension in the car you could have cut it with a knife.
Is it just me, or am I suffocating? Has the air suddenly become thicker? Pratigya thought as she silently sat inside the car...why isn't he saying anything? I wonder what he is thinking...Pratigya suddenly snapped out of her thoughts as the car came to an abrupt stop. She looked up and saw that the car had stopped in front of some large white gates and beyond that she could make out a large white house.
"Were home," Krishna said answering the question that Pratigya was about to ask. He pulled down the car window and outstretched his arm, to put in the pin to the gate lock. The gates slowly opened and they drove inside, the gates then self shutting behind them.
The driveway was a small round driveway, paved with pebble stones, with a small fountain in the middle. Pratigya stepped out of the car and looked around for a minute. The house was a medium sized house, all white, the only colour was the rows of flowers that lined the front, purples, pinks, red, yellows, and some exotic looking blue flowers. The property itself was surronded with a glimmering white wall, even whiter than the house.
It suddenly hit Pratigya, this house was so beautiful, exactly like she had imagined she would be living in after her marriage, had he once bought this house with her desires and dreams in mind? "Do you like it?" asked Krishna, once again bringing Pratigya back to reality as he came up to the side of her carrying her suit case.
"Its...its beautiful," she finally admitted, realizing her face probably gave away her astonishment and awe anyways.
"You know...you actually picked out this house, and the gardening and everything...its all you," Krishna said, without fully knowing if he should or shouldn't have said that.
Pratigya didn't know what to reply, a part of her wanted to tell him this was the house she always dreamed of, but he probably already knew that, so she just settled on giving him a smile. He smiled back, but there was something missing in his smile, something almost hollow about the whole thing. He then motioned for her to walk, and she did as he followed.
He opened the door with his keys and they stepped inside the house. What Pratigya saw astounded her, the outside didn't do the inside justice, and here she thought it couldn't get any more beautiful. The large white, marble staircase, with a trim of gold was beautiful enough. The house was gorgeous, with huge glass windows, lined with silk curtains, the gigantic fireplace which was already burning, the beautiful vases and antique furniture. It was so inviting, despite its sheer size.
Krishna looked at Pratigya's face exploring the house. He smiled, he could tell from her expression she was quite honestly impressed...but it was also ironic, since she didn't know all this was her own work.
It was the first day they had moved in and Pratigya automatically suggested painting the walls a cream colour. "Cream...isn't is so blah Pratigya?" asked Krishna as he looked around the large living room trying to imagine it on the walls.
"No cream is beautiful, when the sun hits these walls...just wait and see how its lights up." Krishna rolled his eyes as he picked up the paint brush and began painting the walls. "Oh at least try to look happy," she teased him, but he pretended not to notice and went on painting the walll. She smiled and picked up her own paintbrush and went up to him and without a second thought smeered some paint on the side of his face.
"Oi!" He yelled. He looked up to see Pratigya in a fit of giggles.
"You know, cream is very becoming of you," she teased him once again, still unable to control her laughter.
"Oh really?" he asked with a mischevious grin on his face. Then he took up his paint brush and threw some paint on her. She screamed. He got up to chase her and she went screaming around the house as he chased her through the kitchen back to the living room.
Finally out of breath she said "stop...okay, truce. We each had one hit."
"Okay truce," he lied, pretending to put down his paint brush. He took the chance to pick it back up as she wasn't looking. He came up behind her and tapped her on the shoulder, she turned around and he took the oppurtunity to smeer her cheek with paint.
"Hey!" she yelled and began to walk away. He laughed and grabbed her hand, but somehow slid on the sheets they had laid out to keep the floor from getting any paint and they both came tumbling down, with her falling on top of him. She gave him a dirty look and tried to get up but he tightened his grip around her waist. "Krishna!"
"You know," he said pushing the hair out of her face, which made her stop instantly stop squirming. "Cream is very becoming of you." She then tried to look elsewhere, shying away from his gaze.
"Krishna..." she said unable to complete her sentence. He smiled and then instantly rolled over so he was on top of her instead. He once again pushed the hair out of her face, and then brought his face closer to her. He could hear her breathing heavily and she closed her eyes, as his lips were only slightly away from hers-
"Ahem!" Pratigya said and Krishna instantly turned around to look at her. The fact that he was thinking about something was clear to Pratigya, and she realized she had just interrupted his thought.
'I'm sorry did you say something?" he asked.
"Yea...I just-" she began, starting to feel uncomfortable. "I just was a bit tired, so I was wondering where I could get some rest."
"Oh..." he replied and motioned for her to follow him upstairs. They reached the top of the stairs, and he was about to turn left, when he suddenly remembered that he couldn't take them to their room. He hadn't changed anything around in it, and it was full of memories, of what now seemed their life so long ago. I should just take her to the guest room...and besides the doctor did tell me not to push it. "This way," he motioned to the right.
They reached the guest bedroom and he pushed open the door. The guest bedroom was small and cosy, with a small double bed, a small couch and a bathroom attached. "Thanks," she said as they stepped in.
"Yea," replied Krishna, feeling how awkward it was that he was housing his own wife in the guest bedroom. His own wife! He then nodded at her and walked away without saying another word, all of this too much once again for him to handle. He shut the door behind him as he left.
Pratigya stood there in the guest bedroom alone, she thought about how Krishna had abruptly stopped at the stairs, and turned his body slightly left but then instantly changed his mind. Was the room on the left something he didn't want her to see? She shook off the thought, thinking maybe she had read too much into it. She then made her way to the bed and lay down, for a while unable to sleep in this place so new to her....and because how could she sleep with all these thoughts ringing around in her head? Her body finally gave out and she shut her eyes.
OKAY GUYS SORRY WAS SHORT...WILL CONTINUE IT
