Pratigya is going to eat a lot of crow down the road if this love story is going to make it to happily ever after. She has to take stock of her own behavior in the early days of their marriage. Will she face up to the missteps she took along the way? Depends on how the producers decide to portray Pratigya in the future............as a woman fighting for women's rights or someone who also reflects on her own shortcomings and grows up.
Abuse is abuse and not to be condoned whether a man does it to a woman or a woman to a man. Let's not forget Pratigya slapped Angad that started this spiral in her life. He came after her and Krishna stepped in, which she may not know about yet. She also smacked Krishna publicly at her engagement. Simply bec' she is a woman she doesn't get a free pass on slapping him twice either. What's good for the goose has to apply to the gander as well, IMO.
Abuse is not just physical it can be mental, psychological and emotional in nature as well. Let's hope the show doesn't justify and promote that men have been abusive to women for centuries and therefore if a woman does it now it's justified. It would send a wrong message. IMO Pratigya has been a flawed character from the get go and not all innocence. Krishna and she both have traits to reflect upon if they are going to give their marriage a chance to survive at all.
If Pratigya was really strong why did she need Krishna to step in to defend when Komal took a fall and Sakthi came to slap her, when her Sasuma and Komal continue to insult her family? She took a page from her mother's book and just stood there crying looking helpless.
