The Guild Awards not only commemorates Bollywood but also our TV industry and this year Colors has made its presence felt by picking up some important trophies. In the category of Best Fiction Show it is the popular Balika Vadhu that made its way through. Running from 5 years, the Colors' show has been instrumental in highlighting some major social issues such as child marriage and education.
Talking about this huge achievement Siddharth Shukla, who plays the lead character of Shiv in Balika Vadhu commented, "It feels good to be a part of the show that has been running for 5 years now. A lot of shows don't run for even a year these days. This show has put up for so long and that too with great perspectives. Hats off to the whole team for pulling off the show so well!"
