Would Sonakshi excel as Mastani (SLB heroine) after losing weight?

January has been a quiet month, but let's see if we can get some masala back. 😉 Sonakshi Sinha had a tepid 2013. She needs to start selecting good scripts with big directors. If the news about her being in SLB's next is true, then this is indeed a big break. Can she excel as Mastani? She is a graceful dancer and is looking hot after her weight reduction. Please share your thoughts.

Her performance was one thing I liked in Lootera, so I guessx she has got the acting part covered
and she has got this old time beauty charm about her too

she will excel in it

If her performance in Lootera is anything to go by, she is a perfect fit for the the kind of love story that shows the classic, old world romance. 😳

i agree with u totally whats her weight got to do with acting. if being thin was the criteria than shilpa shetty, bipasha and the some of the other skinny actresses in bw would be no1 and not be making yoga videos.

Oh YES. Sona has old world beauty & she would fit RIGHT IN , in a Historical!

She would be apt & since she is a very good actress, a brilliant choice for Mastani!!! 🥳

Except that Mastaani was very fair. The characterisation of a historical character which actually existed is very, very necessary. It should be done very properly!

So that way, Kareena would be the apt choice.

Mastani was skilled in horse-riding, spear-throwing and swordsmanship and a talented dancer and singer.

Whoever plays her, has their work cut out for them.

I can't imagine Sonakshi as Mastani, but rather as Kashibhai.

Im sure shes good for the role compared to the rest of the current actresses, but I doubt her dancing capabilities. She is not a graceful dancer, especially in India forms. She can only do those tumke types of dancing.

Unless she gets special and intensive training.
