I don't know about you guys, but i just have to put the writers on stage and give them a round of applause and a standing ovation FOR THOSE RARE MOMENTS IN TV WRITING where there is a flicker of hope that writing for TV is not only about delivering screenplays and dialogue sheets on the set at 9am.

We have had some really smart and indicative writing where you were given clues that Varun Sa is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. The blindfolded slicing of the satin cloth. The flawless general knowledge on Paro and slipping into the robes of the boy of her dreams. They told you beforehand that you should not buy Varun at face value. And what a 360 degree volteface! Varun actually left the sheepskin and showed his wolfside as he pulled out a gun and put it on Paro's head at the most critical moment. ...the innocence slipped away and out came the wolf.

But even that is not the brilliance that you should take away with you. The brilliance on paper is the CRUEL twist that the writers have put out for you. Only Rudra and Varun know and knew what the truth was. Only they both knew that Varun Sa was a villain who could have easily blown of a sleeping Paro's pretty head. Only they both knew that Rudra was the saviour who shot Varun Sa and kept Paro alive. No third person knows this ugly truth. And Paro will never know that her husband was about to blow her brains off . She will never know that she was married to a wolf . And Rudra? Depends on his mood and his labyrinth heart. If he doesn't want to tell her, he will never tell her. Not that she is going to believe him anyway. Not after what she saw - Rudra's thunderous bullet and her collapsing husband.

Rudra's heart may flutter for Paro , he may have a soft spot for her, but he loves nothing and none above his nation , his motherland. There is nobody left alive to prove that Paro is innocent and not a traitor. Varun Sa barked everything except saying that Paro was innocent. Using your cronies to shield yourself is an age old tradition of villains. Paro, as per Rudra, is the last surviving gang member. Paro maybe his budding weakness, but Rudra is still in his SENSES.

The writers have achieved a conflict here that can neither be proved, nor shoved down the throat. They have created a situation where there is no solution. Only a miracle called LOVE can make Paro see the truth someday and make Rudra make way for the truth someday.

WOW. Sheer wolf-wit of writing and its sheer craft.

For the rest? I never mind OTT nationalism because it makes my heart swell with pride. I am from an Army background and I have seen the passion of the armed forces for our country- it fills you with something you cannot put into words - love for the land you were born in and the respect that your country commands. And that fluttering Tricolour in the wind made me so PROUD.

Rudra beating up the enemies was a cakewalk as violence is Rudra's forte and his special talent. I loved how the camera played with his eyes, his hand movements. Small detailing but its very important.

Precap? RIVETING EMOTIONAL MANIPULATION , but i have to admit it here - WHAT A SHOT!

P.S:

Just so that you all know, an officer of the armed forces CANNOT be shown taking an innocent life. If he is shown in that light, he has to be shown facing the repercussions. In fact, even a show like CID cannot show an officer killing an innocent person by mistake. Its a red carpet invitation to trouble. So, Varun couldn't have died at Rudra's hands as an innocent person. A man in uniform and that too your hero and a patriot killing an innocent man equals to inviting unnecessary phonecalls and the kind of trouble you are not looking for.

Beautiful post! After reading your post, I also feel that , before anything, the writers deserve a huge round of applause.

Even today I noticed there had been posts saying the RR is turning too predicable... Now after today's episode, i would say they have given the most powerful twist of the entire show..

Not only that Varun's mask was unveiled, the fact that Paro knows nothing about Varun's creepiness and Rudra knows nothing about Paro's innocence made the whole thing more interesting..

Now they will face each other with equal anger and detest! To Paro, Rudra is killer of her husband, and to Rudra, Paro is a traitor and the only surviving one to reach Thakur.. The takkar will be a treat to watch!

Wonderful story-line, mind blowing twist and great post!
You, too - take a bow!

Evening Vicky,

I comply..the entire team (from A-Z) of Rangrasiya needs to be given adulation and applause..they have created a product which has never been seen before on TV (well at least I haven't)..it ticks all the boxes in terms of cinematography, locales, screenplay..basically the whole technical side to the show 😆

I had an inkling from that first scene of Varun-Sa (sword one)that he was no Mr goody-two-shoes..how could he have possibly sliced the cloth without being trained in sword practice?..must say Varun-Sa accomplished in laying a blanket of innocence only later to discover that under the cover was a man of deceit!!

Coming to the episode..it was an over load of action..I liked it but wished it was toned down slightly..and showed more to the episode rather than 25 minutes of action..I mean come on, it gets boring to view that level of action for 25 minutes straight 😆

The twist was woven brilliantly by the makers...As rightly said by you..no third person was present...it has become a case of blind spot now that Varun is out of the equation, no one to tell them the complete utter truth and lift the veil off the misunderstanding that holds both Rudra and Paro miles apart...each is blind of the truth:

For Paro it's MURDERER
For Rudra it's TRAITOR

Waiting to see how these two contrasting misunderstandings will turn into trust, truth and provide tranquil for each other

Eventually brewing LOVE between the two will only help erase the deceit planted in both minds and help regain the innocence that was there before this mayhem struck

Was a bit worked up as to why makers didn't show Varun innocent..as I felt that was the essence they could have held in viewers hearts...but after reading your ending note it makes sense as to why makers chose this route, they only had to choices be it this way or the highway to trouble..I guess they went for the simpler option 😆

Precap was the cake...it was just at the same time 💔

Unres'd-So, I have been watching this show since the 1st episode, giving it a chance, to see whether I'll like it enough to watch it, regularly-& today, I, finally found an episode I LIKED, really, really liked-everything fit, if there were faults, I didn't notice, nor do I care, because, I don't know what it was about this episode, but it, actually made me want to watch where this impossible story heads, not just objectively appreciate the good work put into it!
I, really did feel the action sequences & the patriotism were portrayed in an OTT manner-BUT, I feel, it fit, it was movie-like(again, like, everything else on this show) & somewhere in the middle of Rudra's fighting back, I chose to buy it, for what was, & accept it! Rudra puts his country above & beyond all else! Point noted! For everybody that thinks, its too much violence, the Army never practised non-violence & was never expected to, so, I feel its a story requirement & in any case, the caption of the show states that its a bloody love-story set in the land of sand & sand dunes-I'm saying this MKM, because there have been a lot of posts regarding the same & this is my opinion about the action scenes!
Now, onto sheer brilliance-I don't like dramatic twists, but, the moment I watched the coming up with Varun pointing his gun at Paro, I knew they had struck a bull's eye, in terms of creating in afantastic misunderstanding, with nobody to clear or clarify it! This is no flimsy misunderstanding! That was amazing! We got rid of saccarine sweet Varun(I was beginning to get irritated with the guy) & how! Quite a timing Paro has! This misunderstanding, to be cleared, requires for Thakir & co to be exposed & well, that's bound to take time, until then, its Paro hating Rudra! Paro has no reason to believe Rudra, even if he were to try to tell her that her husband was a devil in disguise! Rudra doesn't seem to believe she's not a traitor, either, irrespective of the soft spot he seems to have for her, so, yeah, they have the potential for a well-written plotline to take it further!
Ashish is amazing as Rudra!
Precap-had to, had to mention this! Whoever cane up with the idea of that shot, I'd like to tell them, take a bow! It has to be quite a brilliant thing for it to stand out even after watching a stunning episode as the one aired today!
@MKM-what do I tell you that hasn't been told before, you write wonderfully, your take on the episode has become integral to the Rangrasiya experience! Another fantastic take on a stunning episode!

My heart is literally broken in pieces. I was a genuine PaRun shipper genuinely believing that no there are men like Varun whose too good to be true goodness is true ,and that a short genuine love story was being unjustly murdered. Why am I so god damn stupid. So many people were shouting that Varun is fake fake fake. Maine ek ki bhi nahi suni , I listened to my heart!!! ugggh. I'm still reeling from the shock for the reason I am not in the state of writing anything now but seriously you are right.Hats off to the writers and Vishal , what a commendable actor and the transformation of the facade to his true nature - STANDING OVATION. Haaye mera Kabir 😆

Varun's real face was a shocker coz I had started believing that he might be innocent! The action was a bit OTT for me today but I m not complaining! Vande Mataram in the BG did it all! Paro's scream was heart wrenching but alas she knows only half the truth!
Precap...one of the best! Hum saath nahi phir bhi saath hai!
