Even I wonder where Raj is. She was one of my first IF friends and is a great person.

Not logged in IF for a very long time. Wherever she is I hope she is happy and well.

Truly beautiful and immensely inspiring.
Thank you people making it happen.

Off all the things which I encounter on a day to day basic, there are many which leaves a mark...and one of them is the thought behind this particular thread.
Courtesy Alex whose brainchild it has been,

One of the important principles I always hold true is that we are all interdependent, despite societal or financial class, race, age, culture, sex etc. I try to make it a point to say thank you to those that I come in contact with anywhere. Supermarket, garbage delivery workers, office personnel, automotive shop, about anywhere one can come in contact with others at the same moment regardless of their personal disposition i.e. angry, sad, happy, talkative or whatever else. We all know that there are only about 75 to 80 percent of working class vs wealthy humans in the world so the scale is surely unbalanced. Is it not true then that the 75 to 80 percent of us come in contact more with each other more often than the other 20 percent. The very example is before our very own eyes "we all met here and became e-friends, sharing and caring" and that too from different parts of the world.
The reason I started the message this way is because I learn something each time I come in contact with someone and hopefully I have given someone else something that they too have learned from me, something new that they did not know before that can be very helpful in everyday life

This is a thread that touches the realities of life. Brainchild of Alex and courtesy Priya for starting it.

IMO its worth making a sticky. There are so many people and situations that touch our lives and It will be enriching to share. Friends , family or even those we have met once and learned something positive/got a good vibe.

There are so many people we come in contact with every day...Yes some invisible people too who make our lives easier. Many a times we take their services for granted. A simple thanks makes so much of a difference.

"We enter a little coffeehouse with a friend of mine and give our order. While we're approaching our table two people come in and they go to the counter:

Five coffees, please. Two of them for us and three suspended' They pay for their order, take the two and leave.

I ask my friend: "What are those suspended' coffees?"
My friend: "Wait for it and you will see."

Some more people enter. Two girls ask for one coffee each, pay and go. The next order was for seven coffees and it was made by three lawyers - three for them and four suspended'. While I still wonder what's the deal with those suspended' coffees I enjoy the sunny weather and the beautiful view towards the square in front of the caf. Suddenly a man dressed in shabby clothes who looks like a beggar comes in through the door and kindly asks
Do you have any suspended coffee?'

It's simple - people pay in advance for a coffee meant for someone who can not afford a warm beverage. The tradition with the suspended coffees started in Naples, but it has spread all over the world and in some places you can order not only a suspended coffee, but also a sandwich or a whole meal.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to have such cafs or even grocery stores in every town where the less fortunate will find hope and support? If you own a business why don't you offer it to your clients... I am sure many of them will like it.

I like this so much , but its hard to imagine this out here ...But then we do have this .. almost similar ..I would say it is Customized just for us ...
I do not think it hurt us much , if we share a lil ...and besides Sharing is caring ...

This is Mother Teresa's Home in Mumbai and if I am not wrg , they should have one in every city .. Contd
