Ram Kapoor to act in Mere Dad Ki Maruti's sequel
This time the comedy-drama will be simply titled Meri Maruti
For the first time in the history of Indian cinema, a movie will be made because a brand is eager to back the film. Yes, we are talking about Ram Kapoor starrer Meri Dad Ki Maruti! The latest to join the list of sequels is Mere Dad Ki Maruti and to add to the joy of fans, the golu daddy will be seen in Meri Maruti too. Apparently, Maruti is very keen on the movie because they think that it is a very good platform to promote the car.
Talks are ripe with Rhea Chakraborthy and Saqib Saleem for the sequel, but nothing has been finalised yet. Ashima Chibber will don the director's hat again and the project would be made under the YRF banner.
We loved the first instalment because of it's story and Ram Kapoors incomparable Punjabi Daddy comic timing. Although the movie was not a blockbuster, but due to the modest input cost of the movie, it made decent money. Well, we hope the same for the sequel too.
