It's screen death time again for actor Ronit Bose Roy. After first being killed off and then brought back to life as Mr Bajaj in Star Plus's Kasautii Zindagi Kay, it's now the turn of Kunal, the character he essays in Zee's Sarrkkar, to go missing (supposed dead) for a short while.
High drama
As part of the 100th episode celebrations of the show, Sarrkarr reaches a climax of high drama — the plot features a mishap that will involve Kunal.
Confirming the development, Sarrkkar producer Manish Goswami says, "There is an accident as part of the storyline. The character of Kunal will be missing for about four to five episodes, and then be back in the show. Serials have people coming back to life long after they are dead; this is only an accident — people can survive accidents."
Past imperfect
To add to Kunal's track, the show has a blast from the past in the form of Yana (Maninee De).
This political drama will also witness upheavals with Kunal's younger brother Karan (Rohit Roy) being elected chief minister after mother Priyamvada's (Divya Seth) decision to take a sabbatical from politics.
Sarrkkar, which went on air in April, revolves around Priyamvada, who is drawn into power after her husband's assassination.
But her growing popularity and political power has a telling effect on her relationship with her family, especially daughter Krittika (Moulli Ganguly)
