They show the changes in him in very subtle ways...things like him being unable to help complimenting Pakhi accidentally even as he claims to hate her when he's talking to others or himself...him being unable to see Pakhi's pain while in jail and unable to help reaching out to comfort her...the fact that he came to put sindoor on her that morning in jail was not to fulfill his promise as much as it was to comfort her...he was all but about to hug her when she came out of jail if that tuition teacher hadn't interrupted...he didn't need to get her chai when they were heading back, but he did...and kept asking her if she's ok...so the changes are coming...albeit very subtly.

At the same time his primary focus remains to get Pakhi to leave the house...he obviously won't suddenly stop thinking about that even if he's softening otherwise...the softening is all SUBCONSCIOUS...on a conscious level, he's still so blindly focused on getting her to leave that somewhere it's become single-minded...he doesn't analyze it anymore...

He doesn't know how to communicate with his own son...today Pakhi gave him a genuine moment with his son...and he appreciated that...he was touched by it in that moment...but when the spell breaks, he again returns to his main mission...which is to foil Pakhi's attempts to befriend Ayaan. He obviously won't just sit on the side and watch it all unfold...that would be out of character as well cuz he hasn't yet realized his feelings for Pakhi.

They are building up the drama for the 15 day thing...Pakhi will win the challenge only on that last day and that is when we will possibly see a major change in heart for Anshuman too...right now it's all build up.

Nicely explained, and I understand what your saying. But Anshuman just comes across SO insensitive when he decides to use his son's temperamental behavior in his own selfish ploy of removing Paakhi. Ayaan was genuinely HAPPY for once, and its just really sad that Anshuman is OKAY with putting his son's happiness at stake just so that his own purpose is served. I just wish he chose some other route to drive Paakhi out, and not one which would cause his son further pain ... especially since Ayaan was finally moving in the right direction..
@topic maker - nice post, and I completely agree with you :-)

Thank you😊 And I understand what you're saying too...the fact that he's using his son as a pawn in all this is deffo not nice...but then the fact is he doesn't really UNDERSTAND Ayaan or his happiness at this point either...even though he got one genuine moment with Ayaan in this episode, he doesn't yet KNOW how to truly savor it for what it is...He still isn't expecting to have Ayaan stay after Paakhi leaves...the hostel plan is a go in his mind anyways...it's just that Paakhi put herself in as a part of the deal of leaving if she fails...so to him he's killing two birds with one stone...he thinks of his son as a spoilt, selfish brat that needs the strict discipline of a hostel to learn to behave...so he doesn't at this point have the ABILITY to be able to understand his son's heart...Paakhi is still working at bridging that communication gap and maybe then Anshuman will see the bigger picture...for now it's all about him winning this bet and getting her to leave.

True. He is only looking at winning this bet anyhow. Such a stubborn child he is being...a child who cannot get a hold of what is going on around him! His mind is in a total muddle at the moment since he is swinging back and forth between what his image-conscious self wants and what he truly wants! Bechara is confused since his feelings and actions towards Paakhi complete contradict each other. But he's not one to sit and contemplate about this now. He'd rather do what is most convenient for him...compete with his opponent and make her lose! He seems cut out for this method only since he's not into the techniques of reflecting and introspecting...if he was, he'd be a much more sorted person by now. He believes he doesn't have the time or energy for all this self-introspection. Hopefully Paakhi will change that part about him :)
