There's a saying u can take the girl out of the country but can never take the country out of the girl!! I am definitely proud of being a Hindustani--always has been!!

I infact was having a discussion about this in the univ with some of my fellow students..And surprisingly everybody who were aware of what Mumbai went thru felt the same way!!..

👏👏mera bhaarat mahaan!!

Thankoo very much for sharing!!!

grt post...loved it..

there was a similar article regarding the floods in mumbai in Reader's Digest titled "A Night to Remember"
In that the writer talks abt her trek through the waters. She mentioned how the people had formed an chain and walked togather, some even brought food for others while they were stranded in the watrers...amazing....WAY TO GO MUMBAI

To quote the writer

"The trek was an eye opener, a testimony to the indomitable spirit of the people of Mumbai."

" One forgot the tiredness, the danger. The sheer spirit of it all was fantastic"

"People chanted, sang songs, cracked jokes," Guess what the favorite song was "Just Chill Juct Chill"

"Mumbaikars have stopped expecting anything from politicians. So when the city turned into a dangerous world , they helped each other. It was business as usual , in a way"
