Should Ranbir Kapoor be threatened by Ranveer Singh?

Ranbir Kapoor is one of the finest actors in the country without a doubt. He's a good actor, good dancer, and he's extremely popular. To many, he should be considered the next big thing of Indian Cinema. However, there's a rising star in B'town that could prevent this from happening, and his name is Ranveer Singh.

In my opinion, Singh's the only youngster from the new generation that is equally as good as Ranbir Kapoor when it comes to both acting and dancing. His fan following is growing rapidly too.

History has shown time and again that there will always be one superstar in Bollywood who is bigger than the rest (Amitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan). However will that one superstar be Ranbir Kapoor or Ranveer Singh?

Ranbir Kapoor said in his Frankly Speaking interview that he knows he has to be focused, because if he doesn't there could always be a newcomer that comes out of nowhere and goes on to become the next big superstar. Is he talking about Ranveer Singh?

Just like how Aamir Khan had to deal with the rise of SRK as the bigger superstar in the past, will Ranbir Kapoor have to deal with the rise of Ranveer Singh as the bigger superstar in the future? Or will it be the other way around this time?

I personally think that by 2020 both of these actors will have carved such a niche for themselves that they won't have any competition to worry about, similar to the three Khan's in today's day and age.

Ranbir is already up there I don't think he has anything to worry about. The guy is competing with Hrithik and the Khans I don't think he sees Ranveer as a competition.

I agree with your last statement. once the khans have moved over there will be a new lineup of star actors in the industry, ranbir will definitely be one of them and ranveer is also rising on that same path.

But who else will join them? I think arjun and varun have big potential as well.

In terms of competition ranbir is already a megastar and is being compared to HR and the khans, but once they have moved on the new set of stars will become his competition. So he may not be worried about competition now, but maybe in the future.

Both the Rans should be threatened by each other. They are both good actors. Being competitive will make them work harder and choose good roles. I'd like them to be competitive.

Ranveer is a VERY good performer

That said , ranbir has reached the khans status

Ranveer needs another 3 years to gain that kind of stardom

But it's not impossible

Yea I wouldn't say he has reached the Khan status either. Besharam's outcome is a testament to the fact.

but media and the industry have put him in that level, karan putting him on the rapid fire list among the khans and HR is an example.

Karan is infamous for his hyperbolic statements. As for media, what they state doesn't hold much water if the facts don't support it. He's heading that way but he's not there yet. I don't doubt that he will be in a few years, he barely has any competitors. But at the moment, I'd say not yet.
