In todays episode Neeranjan mentiones that the festival of Makar Sankranti is near and they will celebrated it and Shlok promises that ashta too will be there with them.

Makar Sankrantil is a harvest festival and is celebrated on 14th january, it marks the start of the spring and on this day its believed It also marks the end of an inauspicious phase in peoples lives and they should turn away from the darkness of delusion in which they live, and begin to enjoy a new life with bright light within them to shine brighter and brighter.

In few words cvs are preparing the field for a new era for the kirloskars and Agni people. n era in which darkness will loose intensity and light will make its own place in their lives..

For now, enjoy some cold winds before the actually spring comes...

The episode starts with Ashta contiously remembering the harsh words said to her, on the side shlok is drinking thinking that could make him forget, but instead is worse..he is rembering ashta saying she cant live by his side,she is rejecting him once again..now i wonder what hurts the most, his ego or the loss of her admiration and trust ( he also remebers her accusing him abt hurting her father) First he drinks with the glass but when the flash back turns more hurtfull he takes the whole bottle..that does the job and literally knocks him out uncouncious..the bottle still dripping and in the back his image blurred on the bed still in the same clothes.. Shlokie is devasted his toy left him..

Beautiful is the way they showed how both suffered after the "party' in the white house..both are broken but in the next morning they with a new resolution...opoisite ofcourse.. Ashta tries to move on, plasting a happy smile on, and shlok is fresh as a daisy after consuming so much alchool is determinated to bring her home, no matter how, wilingly or by force..it seems that the drink has killed some of his brain cells coz he knows that ashta hasnt bowed down till now by force..

In the morning we also got to see a very interesting scene between Anjali and Neeranjan, it seems that she is his servent , slave, andinformer too, wow, how many things does this woman for him..is he capable of doing anyth but manipulating?! Anywho, she was suppose to give him a full report on ashta nad shlok but failed to notice the real nature of their relationship ann now daddy is very upset that he even doent let her tie his shoe laces🤢 I felt so bad for anjali..esp when she slightly smiled at him when he didnt let her put the socks on.. was she hopefuill that he acted humanly or was afraid to ask his why change a lifetime habit😕Poor woman😭

At the kirloskars, ashta turns to a lil Mary Poppins spreading joy with her magic and decides to do some shopping, her granny and mother are a bit wary since they have financial problems and ofcourse coz shes acting weird for a girl that cried all nite.In the end they still go, with a promise of a eating contest with her granny.

Oh yeah and i almost forgot..avdhoot is reminded on the streets he is related to NA and he calls him to what? to fix his problems or his daughters?😕 Mister u are confusing moi big time here..how can u talk to man whose son humiliated and hurt ur daughter and more..he let u on bail with that condition..of doing smth illegal..are they chjanging avdhoots characterisation now? what wind hit this guy?😕

Coming to shlokie he turns a stalker.. he follows the ashta around in his white(ofcourse) SUV, which miraculosly apeared from the jungle..he says he will get her home for daddy😉 yeah sure, and i hate chocolate😆😆

The preacap.. oh i looved it, neerja's wish of seeing shlokie slapped came true..kalindi gives him a great one after he manhadles her like a brute..

Superb episode once again..simply entertaining!!

Myra loved your title.

My thoughts about the episode.

Both Astha and Shloke through their individual flashbacks showed what is actually eating them up. For Astha it was Shloke's hatred towards her and that he married her so that her life becomes a joke so that she realizes her real worth. Regarding Shloke it is Astha saying that she does not want to live with a man who has involved her father in a false case. From Shloke's expressions it does look like he is feeling guilty regarding what has happened with Avdhut. It is true that he did not get Avdhut arrested but he did set up the case on the basis of which Avdhut was arrested. So he in one way is responsible. Whatever emotions he was feeling makes him consume the entire bottle of whisky and he drinks himself to sleep. In one way instead of facing up to his mistake he chooses to take the help of alcohol and all this is again showing in deep seed issues regarding insecurity and the use of ego to hide this insecurity. Meanwhile at Kirloskars Astha cries herself to sleep. The next day Astha keeps a brave face in front of her family members so that they are not worried but her pain does come out when she is by herself. Her mother and grandmother are also worried about Astha's situation and they are keeping an eye on her but not suffocating her...they are following Astha's cues and letting her decide on how she wants to face things. In comparison, in Agnihotri mansion no one asked Shloke how he is or how he is feeling. Even his elder brother did not think about talking to his kiddy brother. Instead he was being forced to follow orders regarding bringing back Astha, even if he does not want to do it. Instead of giving him space he has to fulfill demands. Shloke also behaves as if he is not affected and he decides that he will use force on Astha to make her come back (if he has too). Compared to Astha who has a support network and who himself is strong enough to accept that there are difficulties in life and one has to live facing those difficulties, Shloke uses his ego to run away from his real problems. Shloke is an insecure and lonely soul who actually needs Astha much more than Astha needs him.

The scene between Neeranjan and Anjali was interesting. Neeranjan is scolding Anjali for not knowing what was happening between Shloke and Astha and that she was unsuccessful regarding breaking the ties that exist between Astha and her parents. But was it entirely her fault? Astha has been continuously choosing her parents and the ideals that they have taught her in front of Neeranjan. Since the water pledge was Neeranjan's idea, how can it be entirely Anjali's fault? What made him think that Astha will bow down to this demand? Wasn't his bloated ego making him a bit too overconfident to think that Asth will fall in line? Is this same bloated ego also making him not accept that the mighty Neeranjan Agnihotri can be wrong? So whom can he blame...who else but his punch bag, his wife Anjali. By the way it is also a good manipulative way regarding controlling Anjali. Guilt is a very powerful tool for controlling people and Neeranjan guilt tripped Anjali. Neeranjan and Anjali have a very twisted emotional relationship and Neeranjan controls this relationship by threatening or taking away certain "rights and privileges" that he has bestowed on her. Anjali somehow feels insecure when these so called rights and privileges are taken away and she jumps to rectify her mistake. That's what happened when Neeranjan became a drama queen regarding not allowing Anjali to put the socks on his feet. The way Anjali was wringing her hands when Neeranjan was scolding her ad being melodramatic shows her fear...which makes me ask whether she is afraid because Neeranjan holds her responsible or whether she is afraid that she went for the overkill and that she thinks that Neeranjan has guessed this? So Neeranjan's plan was to make Astha choose between her parents and him in the Agnihtori mansion itself? Did he want the water pledge drama to be enacted in front of all his guests where according to him Astha would have herself taken the water pledge and would have broken all connections with her parents because of the fact that her father was has been implicated in the fraud case and that Neeranjan's name has been spoiled through her father's actions. Neeranjan most probably will not accept that Anjali actually saved his face, if he was actually planning for all of this to take place in front of the guests. Anjali's actions have actually in one way given protection to her family, to him, to Kirloskars and also to Astha. Neeranjan was scolding Anjali regarding breaking the family while Anjali was trying to see to it that the unity does not break...she knows that Astha will break the bubble world and that means this family will break. Neeranjan's ego does not want to see it. Anjali is scared and she is also protecting her sanity but she is aware of reality. Neeranjan's ego does not want to see reality or he does not care about reality because according to him any adverse situation can be manipulated. Neeranjan also did not realize while throwing his hissy feet that he himself is breaking his own rules...he did wear his own socks and shoes.

Neeranjan's self centered world does depend on the shoulders of two people...Anjali and Shloke. When the morning visitor was questioning Neeranjan both mother and son stood up to protect his ego and his image. If these two leave him, his world will crumble and Neeranjan can turn very vicious to protect his world.Talking of manipulation, it seems that Avdhut is now under Neeranjan's control. The one act of signing the land document has it seems killed his soul to such an extent that he is not adverse to sending his daughter back and not giving it back to Neeranjan. Avdhut did protest to Neeranjan regarding the fact that his daughter's life is involved but he quickly shut his mouth after being placated by Neeranjan. Wonder what will be Kalindi's reaction to Avdhut's deed? Talking of reactions...Jyoti has now learned that Astha has left home and she wants to help Shloke and Astha. Jyoti knows stuff regarding the role that Abhay has played...will she tell Shloke or Astha what exactly has happened. Sojal's mother is planning to stay and drive a wedge between Shloke and Astha. Through Kavya Anjali has got to know that Sojal's mother is here to create mischief and she has given the last warning to Sojal that if her mother does not change her ways then this time Sojal will be sent home with her mother. So if the truth about Anbhay comes out and Sojal lands into trouble, is her mum here to take her back or is her mum here so that Sojal can use her mother to protect herself. Nobody in the Agnihotri clan thinks that Sojal has brains and both her husband and her MIL think that her mother is the one who gives her wrong ideas.

Apt title...considering the polar vortex winter surrounding North America..it has started to show effects on Agni Mansion to and the Agni is getting bit calmer..😉

Episode starts with NA and Anjali where Anjali brings his shoes to wear..NA is angry on her for not fulfilling his second wish.so NA's second gift was to break astha's ties with Kirloskars..hmmm...bt here he underestimated Astha..he thgt that like Anjali, Astha too will devote herself to Agnihotris n break all the ties with her parents..he was caught off guard here for sure...his control is slipping for sure wen it comes to Astha..she behaves in the ways which even NA cant predict..she will surely give NA the taste of his own medicine..😉

He subtly criticized Anjali tht her control over the things r slipping and she s not keeping love and unity in the family ( i guess by love NA means Manipulation and by Unity he means threatening to suppress own emotions..afer all he mst be having his own dictionary 😉)..so his way of punishing Anjali is to detach her frm him and his tasks...NA mst be aware of the fact tht smwhere deep Anjali mst be having sm sort of feelings or attachment towards NA and he knows if he dsnt involve her in his tasks and dsnt let her do his work then she will definitely feel hurt...NA is using Anjali's devotion and love for himself as a weapon to break her...felt really bad for her here...Anjali is trying desperately to get the approval and appreciation from NA which she knows tht she s never gonna get..

Coming back to Sojal and her irritating Mom..CVs y d hell u brgt tht lady back..wanted to slap her n her daughter...I really felt today tht she deserves this kind of treatment from Varad..I guess Varad exactly knows how she s n wat she thinks..he feel disgusted to be related to her n hence this detachment..I really wonder had Varad given his attention and care to her, she still would hv been this same person..i guess yes..coz thts wat she has got frm her mother in her upbringing..she hasnt taught any principals or values...how can she rationally think abt all the stuff...

Kavya ..hugs n kisses to u my lil cutie pie for spilling the beans of ur Nani in frnt of ur Ajji..how innocently she told everything..u go girl..bt feeling really sad..V r already witnessing how the abusive environment hv made a mark on Shlok, Jyoti and Varad's mind..wat this little soul will suffer and how will she turn out to be as a person wen she will grow up...and Anjali for God's and our Forum's sake, pls take some actions rather than jst threatening them...otherwise things will go really out of control and ther wl b big mess in frnt of everyone to clear..Jaya ji n Sojal r planning to drift Ashlok further apart by taking undue advantage of their already existing misunderstanding...lets c wat CVs show us now..

Coming back to Shlok n Astha..v got to see d contrast n also got to see who s strong between them...Shlok has again gone back to his drinking thereby implying d fact that Astha did fill d vacuum in his life tht he never felt d need to drink..he jst drank once to celebrate his victory thts it...he was reminded of Astha's words of accusing him for d crime which he did not do..so its all abt his hurt and guilt tht s eating him inside..so now his Baba's insult has gone out of d window here it seems..n its all abt him n Astha..

Now abt Astha..she was reminded of Shlok's harsh words telling her tht he married jst for revenge n to make mockery of her life..she s deeply hurt n is shown crying..now if she has accepted this fact and started hating him then y is she crying here..i guess its coz of d fact tht she did hope deep inside tht Shlok will turn good..may b she still has hopes n she s sad tht d situation is forcing her to let go of her hope she has in Shlok ..

These 2 r constantly swinging between extreme emotions of hatred n care for each other...they cant stay away frm each other nor they can stay wid each other..Iss Pyaar ko Kya Nam Doon..

I really luved d way Astha was keeping a brave front in frnt of his family..she has grown up a bit n hs started taking sm responsibility of her actions..she knows tht she s d reason of all the insults n pain this family has been going through...so she s trying to ease out their pain by appearing normal..n i jst loved her spirit here..bt then wen she was having sm normal time with her family @ tht ani puri stall, Shlok again eclipsed her with his dark presence..wonder this dark shadow s not gonna leave Astha ...

Avadhhot was lost n defeated..felt really bad wen ppl were watching him with suspicion...bt i m also liking d fact tht NA and Shlok planned to harm Kirloskar's reputation bt their own reputation too has gone for a toss jst coz of one person who was also a Kirloskar before marriage...Astha...👏

Myra, loved your title and linking of the festival to the coming days in Shlokie/Astha life. Besides Astha and Shlok, I hope it is also a new start for Anjali and Jyoti.

So before anything, I will start with the precap - Go Kalindi as she is now the one who wears the pants in the family. I was wondering about Avdhoot too. The screenplay writers are now also episodic writers. So has Avdhoot's characterization changed? Probably...But to me it seemed as this is consistent with what Avdhoot has done. He killed his soul (went against his principles) to sign the land deal. When he stood for his principles, he was strong and had no fear of Niranjan despite feeling overwhelmed by his status.

Now that he has made a deal with the devil, he has become weak. Hence his call to Niranjan to fix the things just as he fixed it up for Avdhoot. Avdhoot would have been better off if he had been in jail for few more days instead of signing that deal. Once Misti mentioned about Astha proving to be a savior for Avdhoot. It seems that Avdhoot will now need Astha and Kalindi's strength to get up once again. For that, he needs to tell them the truth about what he had done. Astha too needs to do the same. She is still protecting Shlok and it seems has not told her parents the trap Shlok laid for Avdhoot.

But there is some change in Astha. Previously, she was a pampered child who would be waking up late with her mother going after her to eat or drink something. Today she was up before her mother and made her a cup of tea. Then she saw her mother looking sad and decided to cheer both the mother and the grandmother by taking them outside.

When she had left Shlok's house, she was thinking of everything good he had done to her during the HM. In her room, she was thinking about all the hurtful things he mentioned even after the HM and her resolve to move on strengthened. It seems that before he reiterated his "hate Astha with passion" dialogues, she still had some lingering hopes from him especially because he took care of her in the jungle. But now she seems to have lost hope and is making an effort to move on because of her family.

Shlokie on the other hand is quite lost. So despite all that baba stuff he spouted, his flashbacks were of Astha finally talking about impossibility of living with him and not believing him about her father. So all that stuff Shlok said about not giving a damn whether Astha believed him or not was just a pretense. After all these flashbacks, Shlok started drinking straight from the bottle. I liked the scene of Shlok lying on the bed and half empty open bottle dripping the alcohol on the floor. In earlier scenes, he used to finish up the bottle. So now even the bottle of alcohol is not giving him solace and that's why he did not finish it.

Just an aside: I am feeling sorry for Shlokie's liver.

Morning after:

Shlok is looking as fresh as a daisy. Wonder what he drinks in the morning to remove all those affects of alcohol. He comes down only to hear the gossip about Astha leaving him. He sees baba's stern face and pointedly touches his feet to tell him that he is going to get Astha back. Baba is looking smilingly and with pride at departing baccha because he got his devoted baccha who is going to bring the girl he "hates" just for his baba.

Shlokie then hops in the car (from Harry Potter series who miraculously came back after getting lost in the jungle), after deciding that force might be needed to bring back the wayward wife. Shlokie of course has forgotten that it is not 19th century anymore where the wives can be dragged home without any repercussions. On top of that, he has not thought of tigress Kalindi who protects her baby cub. Can I just say that I am looking forward to battles of Kalindi with Shlokie in this battle of wills. One is protective about her daughter and another one is possessive about his wife. So it would be "my daughter" vs. "my wife" battle with pendulum Astha swinging from one side to the another.

Jyoti - The Eternal Optimist

Abhay came home to rub in Jyoti's face that the relationship between her favorite brother and favorite sister-in-law was a sham and that it is now broken. Like Varad, Jyoti too wants to believe that an Agnihotri can have a normal relationship. Also Jyoti genuinely cares for Shlok. So despite Abhay's warnings, she is now thinking of bringing them back together. Wonder if Jyoti's problems will bring back Astha in Shlok's house as Jyoti is a cause for Astha. Jyoti is pregnant and she is now feeling mentally more prepared to fight Abhay. So if the baby is again a girl, would Jyoti be determined this time not to abort the child. So will she ask Astha's help in protecting her baby girl?

Finally, Anjali and Niranjan: The unfathomable relationship

Anjali's attachement towards Niranjan is so incomprehensible to me though such relationships exist. Anjali fears Niranjan, yet she is so emotionally connected to him for whatever reason. So him allowing her to massage his feet or to let her put on shoes/socks for him is a demonstration of love for her. I wonder if Anjali like Astha had some type of fascination for a man on whom she would bestow her care. Then maybe Niranjan taught her that this is the definition of taking care of a person one loves.

So she feels punished when he refuses these services. His manipulative music was on when he started berating Anjali for missing signs of strains between Shlok and Astha. Of course, he convientely forgot to blame himself as he is the one who had seen Astha crying. He is also the one who claims to be closest to Shlok. So wasn't that a slap on his face that his devoted son kept all of this from him. Regardless, Niranjan is an expert in striking at Anjali's self esteem who is now promising to make everything allright.

Probably this is how Niranjan controlled Anjali by his carrot and stick approach. He told her that she used to boast about having iron fist control over her household. Did he use to praise her for this skill and she (an abused person) became hungry for that praise. So criticizing her this way and withholding rewards (letting him put the shoes on for him) is his way of controlling her. They are using two musics for Niranjan these days. One when he is manipulating and the other when he goes for the kill. So in the end, when he went for the kill by walking away, they played that music. So Anjali who was feeling sympathy for Astha is once again under his control. The question is: Is baccha under his control completely?

Overall, a good episode with good acting from Manish and Geetanjali.
