That's what I think they want to show. They want to show Varun as a nice guy because it'll make it all that more tragic. They want to show some budding feelings from both Varun and Paros side because they want to make it all that more more sad and tragic when it gets ripped away from them. They want to show the life these two individuals could have had if it wasn't cruelly ripped away.
I'm enjoying where they're taking this and how there making it somewhat realistic. I'm glad there not having Varun be a mean guy or there to be indifference in Paro and Varuns relationship, it's nice that they are showing a budding relationship that could have turned into more if fate hasn't gotten in the way.
The budding romance between Paro and Varun gives more dimension to the story and their characters and makes it even more tragic and sad.
