Sanchi sr., aka Irawati Shekhar, is selfish and attention seeker to the core. Totally insecure.

Shiv's paying attention to Anup, his mannerisms being similar to Anup's, his even listening to Anup or the latter suggesting Shiv (like he did to pack breakfast today) are all pinching this Ira.

She smiled when Shiv ignored Anup's suggestion and sat to have breakfast. Smiled even more when Shiv said he won't be able to accompany Anup to places associated with his memories. 🤢

In precap also she had constipated look and rather seemed to be forcing herself to smile when Anup declared he regained his memories. 🤢

It's a shame she is so selfish and insecure and is struggling to show even basic courtesy (atleast out of gratitude for what Meenu did for her). Meenu had such a big heart and bore so much for years. Whereas this Ira can't tolerate even minor adjustments.

Ira seems to be seething at Meenu's happiness and her regaining whatever she had lost.

Not that she doesn't have her own child. But this seems more of an insecurity at not having her own SON and her kid not being the ELDEST offspring of the family.

There is NO doubt who Sanchi takes after. Ira's disgusting and she will make things more difficult to handle for Shiv also. She seems so used to getting lion's share of attention that she can't even make adjustments for a person who's reunited with his own biological family after 25 freakin' years!!

Thodi sharam bhi nahi hai.

Skeps... I hope after watching today's episode, your opinion about Ira is changed.

Ira was more happy than any other family member knowing Anup is back to his normal self

She told not to disclose about Shiv's real identity to him because she knew he would be hurt knowing about it...

Just as she was cheated by her husband, she understands that Anup was also cheated by his wife. And she knows what the pain of being cheated by your spouse is like.

In fact, what Meenu did to her husband is worse than what Alok did to Ira.

How could a wife tell her husband such a big lie that his daughter was born dead when it was a healthy baby boy she had given birth to? How could a wife take her husband for granted in such a dirty way?

And here we are finding fault with Ira when its Meenu who thinks she has the authority to play with other people's lives.

Meenu gave away Shiv in an emotionally weak state - she was made to feel guilty and she loved Ira so much, so she was less guilty in the baby swap than Alok. However, she was more guilty in not telling Anoop about his first born. It is not possible that she could not get an opportunity to tell the truth to Anoop for five years. She should have told the truth when Anoop first came to Udaipur after Shiv was born. Ira feels the pain of betrayal from her near ones and does not want to let Anoop feel the same at present, may be the shock will be more because he regained his memory just now. However, the truth should be told to him after sometime (however, I feel that Anoop may not react as strongly as Ira because creatives have made Ira with shades of gray and somewhat emotionally unstable character).

All in all, nothing about Ira's concern for Anup is 'fake'. She is going through a very fragile time, and we, as viewers, should try and delve into her emotional turmoil instead of demonizing her. She may not be the most mature person on the planet, but her knee-jerk reactions are not unforgivable either.

Well , i for one , do not demonize her . But her knee jerk reactions last a long time and culminate into something awful that destroys the mental peace of the family like that last court case . Then she comes along with joint hands and apologizes and all simply fall over each other to pamper her . She should have DIVORCED Alok if she is that fragile , but she is holding onto HER marraige and laying guilt trips on Meenu's family unit when

Anup has suffered so much that spoilt Ira cannot even begin to understand it , if he was brutally beaten by enemies for years , the lady did not even have a small tight slap from hubby in the bedroom for her atrocious behaviour in the court case

Alok is WRONG period . But i can see where he came from . He may be an army man but as a husband he is petrified of his wife . Its Ira's spoilt and strong headed nature , she pressurizes him emotionally . He was terrified about her reactions when she would gain consciousness , he finds it easier to talk to Meenu as a man , as a brother in law . Nobody can talk to Ira . Saanchi does not talk to her but manipulates her by setting free wiggling worms in her mind like Iago and Ira listens coz she ECHOES what she feels . Thats not a two way talk .

Meenu has NOT asked Anup's permission before giving away the baby , and let us see how Anup reacts , for what she did was WRONG period . It was unfair on the husband AND the biological child . She may be a fantastic sister in law , but she is wrong as a wife .

In this case, they're not lasting a long time. Her reactions, tat is. They're bubbling but eventually dying down. As long as it stays that way, all should be fine.
On Meenu: She is wrong not only as a wife, but also as a MOTHER.

My opinion on Ira has not changed and I agree with points put forth by Kools.

Ira's so called goodness or understanding are all temporary. It's a routine for her to act understanding and concerned one day but go back to selfishness and insecurity other day. Scold Sanchi one day but bitch with her other day.

Sorry but I find it amusing that people are thinking Ira is concerned about Anup being cheated! No way. She can't think about anyone else's pain except her own or her laadli Sanchi (to some extent).

Meenu is no demon. She was blackmailed and made to feel guilty by Alok. She was alone and used. But her lying to Anup forever was wrong.

Alok also did this because he is a weak man and is pressurised by Ira. He's scared of all her reactions.

From 37 years everyone from oldies to young ones are behaving with only one criteria in mind - Ira's feelings. Unhe kaisa lagega? Blah blah!

^^And why is it wrong if she thinks of her own pain? I think some of us got so used to excessive mahaanta on display that actual normal behaviour rankles with us. I repeat, it is normal for anybody in Ira's place to have insecurities. The specific nature of the character 'Ira' is of no consequence here.

Kool: Yes, Sonal Jha is a great actor. Both Meenu and Ira are played by very graceful, dignified-looking women.
