After a great success with "Yeh Jawaani hai Deewani," Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor are looking forward to doing another film together to show off their popular on-screen chemistry.
Since the two displayed a great performance in May, many fans are wondering if there are any immediate plans for the on-screen couple coming together in a new movie anytime soon.
Luckily for them, Film Fare confirmed the news by announcing the final title of the new Imtiaz Ali directed movie. The love story will be called "Window Seat," starring the former real-life couple.
The site also stated that Ali's "production house, which is also co-producing his upcoming film Highway,' is also called Window Seat. The reason Imtiaz wants to name his film with Ranbir after his production house is because the name is close to his heart."
Ali first brought Padukone and Kapoor together on-screen with "Love Aaj Kal" which had proven to be a landmark in Padukone's career. When she was contacted for the part in "Window Seat," she confirmed to star in the film.
"With five biggies in a row, starting from Cocktail' to Ram Leela,' there was no way that anyone else could have been thought of," said a source close to the film crew. "With Ranbir, Imtiaz, Deepika and Sajid coming together, the whole package becomes red hit in the trade. In any case, Deepika was more or less finalized from the very beginning. However,her current spree, including Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' with Ranbir, only made sure that the formality was taken care of sooner than later."
Padukone previously hinted that there would definitely be a new Kapoor-Padukone movie coming soon and also kept quiet about the plans until everything was confirmed.
"Well, I think we are really happy that people have liked our onscreen chemistry. We are definitely looking at doing something together soon. Woh toh hoga (that will happen)," said Padukone. "However before we make a final call, both of we have to come on board individually in terms of liking the script that comes our way. I am sure there is something that would come in for us."
"See, between us everything doesn't have to be spoken about. We get along each other really well," said Padukone. "Moreover, you can't force these things. The same way actors choose scripts, at times the scripts too chose those actors who are destined to play some parts. I am sure something as beautiful like Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' will happen again for us."
