The whole show is a fraud.--

The Great Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao fake story?

Phonies are on the prowl!!!

If you are a celebrity and you receive a tweet from a certain Twitter handle @IJSMB asking for your cell phone number, then beware.

Well known celebrities like Sambhavna Seth, Dolly Bindra, Pooja Misrra, Siddharth Bharadwaj and Vivek Mishra have been all foxed by a person who claims to be the maker of the season 2 of the celeb reality show, Iss Jungle Se Mujhe Bachao.

For the uninitiated, the above show first beamed on Sony Entertainment Television and got wrapped in controversy when desh ki bahu Shweta Tiwari exposed her navel (and lot more) and took a shower under a waterfall.

Skin show was the flavour of the show with Negar Khan, Mona Vasu, Kashmira Shah following suit and flashing their well endowed assets to ride the popularity charts.

The first season aired way back in 2009 and since then due to its controversial and voyeuristic content, a second season looked highly improbable. One of the reasons for the delay in its second innings could also be the show's dismal performance on the ratings front.

So when we heard that the show is coming back this year, we got a tad suspicious. Pratyusha Banerjee in an interview with us confirmed that she was approached for Iss Jungle Se season 2. And when we probed a bit further, we realized that the entire development was a big hoax.

We spoke to some of the celebs who have been victim of the swindle.

"They said they are a production house based in London. The name of the production house is Amit Productions and it is producing this show on ITV Network," said Vivek Mishra who was last seen on Bigg Boss Season 7.

Interestingly, this alleged fake team even sent Vivek a mini contract and exchanged a few words on whatsapp. "After a few conversations with them I started doubting the production house as everything was working in the digital space. No production house ever works this way. They usually call you to their office and have a word with you. Hence, I asked them to pay fifty percent of my remuneration post which they stopped calling or whatsapping me," stated the yoga trainer.

Interestingly, the alleged fraud company made contacts with the celebs via the above Twitter handle.Tellychakkar.com even tweeted it seeking more information about their company and credibility, but did not receive any response till the time of filing the article, increasing our suspicions further.

"They tweeted me and asked my phone number, which was weird. Usually production houses have the numbers of actors and they call for any work purpose," said Sambhavna Seth.

Dolly Bindra on the other hand stated, "I do not know who is playing this dirty game but I think we shouldn't give them any attention as it's completely fake."

Next we spoke to Sidharth Bhardwaj (Splitsvilla, Bigg Boss fame) and he too echoed the same sentiment saying, "I realised it's a fake production house on the very first day. I asked for a payment of Rs 1 lakh and they vanished immediately."

The last celeb to have allegedly been swindled by the cons is Pooja Misrra, who still has faith in the project being a born optimistic: "Yes, I am a part of the show though there is more clarity to come. However, my brother who has been staying in the US for ten years says that ITV is a big thing in the US. So, this has to be genuine."

Well, that does not look true as of now.

As mentioned the first season of Iss Jungle Se was aired on Sony TV and was produced by Miditech.

When we buzzed Sneha Rajani, EVP and Business Head of Sony TV, she clearly stated that the channel has not commissioned the second season of Iss Jungle Se. She also said she has no idea who holds the rights of the format as of now.

The show is the adaptation of the international hit format I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!.

We contacted Miditech's Niret Alva to get a response on whether the production house is coming up with any such project, but he did not respond.

But the same celebs whom we have mentioned in the story above went on to state that the name of Miditech has not been used when they were offered the show.

We would like to believe - based on the conversations we have had with one and all - that someone is quite likely pulling a fast one on celebs to get in touch with them. If, he is not, then we would appreciate a response to [email protected]. Amit Productions - you can be sure we will carry your version too. We atTellychakkar.com are waiting!!!
