I came across an article today that said that Garima is Shashi's second wife and Payal's step mother😲

They never mentioned this in the show

Yes, she is. Buaji and Garima talk about this in one of the scenes. It's there in one of the episodes before the revelation of Garima;s sach

Yes. Buaji indirectly mentioned it in the show that Garima came with a little Khushi after her marriage to stay with Shashi and his daughter Payal whose mother has died. It was also mentioned on IPK's Star Plus' page.

i knew it bcus of star plus official website, has written it somewhere. But since my understanding of hindi was very poor at time I guess I didn't get it. But now I am watching the show in tamil dub, so I might get the chance to actually watch the scene.

Yes that is true. That is actually one of the most beautiful aspects of IPK that neither Payal nor Khushi were the biological daughter of the Shashi and Garima together, yet as a family they all gelled so well without ever making it a big issue and the daughters were inculcated the best of values,

yes 😆 that was the point of arnav telling dadi what he thought was the truth of the gupta's and her asking 'yeh kahaani sach hai?' and him saying this is not a kahaani, this is khushi's family. until dadi saw garima and knew she was 'woh aurat'. and she wasn't payals real amma either, i'm sure buaji mentioned it? or am i going crazy? 😲 😆
