When the Buddy Project started, the characters or 'Buddies' as dubbed onscreen & by fans, were a bunch of indisciplined, immature, stubborn, rebellious kids, along with their own set of flaws. They were bright children, but lacked direction. Enter JJ. He ain't you regular teacher who reports you to your parents or sends you to detention on your mistakes. He was the teacher 10 times as twisted & 'Junglee' as the Buddies. Hence the perfect guy to sort them out 😉
And he succeded! His Buddy Project was a success. These kinds found their way to each other...& to themselves. In this months, from school to college, they have all truly grown & come a long way from the way.they initially were.
But...was the Buddy Project truly a success through & through? Has its goal truly been complete? Have the Buddies grown into the people JJ wanted them to?
JJ thought so. We thought so. Buddies thought so.
But now...recent episodes are raising doubts.
Yes...they are no longer the 'Junglees' they were. But the impulsiveness of the Buddies & lack of self control of RanSh, KD & Kiya's stubbornness, Panchi's insecurities, Piddi's lack of individuality (he is still as JJ said - KD Bhai ka chamcha, & the fact that Buddies still lack the drive to do something in their lives...these make me question, whether it is so easy to completely let go off such deeply rooted flaws & characteristics in such a short time span?
The Buddy Project & JJ have in fact only achieved the FIRST of their goals. Bring it on! 😎
