A child grows as per circumstances, as per the environment that one is thrust into. He or she develops his or her perceptions based on the life's lessons taught from the crib.
Aditya and Mrityunjay, we find glimpses of the hard life they've had in the small gestures or words that are let loose as cannons that are honing on their targets as we speak.
Aditya's words, "it's Fahim Chacha who mothered me," does it indicate that he did not have the love from his mother that he must've craved for when he was little? Does that show that his mum Nirmala is trying to overcompensate now (as she feels guilty for her oversight when he was tiny)? Would Aditya have turned out to be a better person and not a Casanova had he been taught to value women and been nurtured by his birth mom?
Mrityunjay's story of him being adopted and not finding mother's love or acceptance as a child has come through in several instances when he is still looking for motherly approval and even the mildest of interest or a whiff of concern shown by Nirmala seems to make him so immensely happy. But imagine, how he must've found himself lonely, lost, and unprotected as a child. Would he have evolved in to much more dynamic powerhouse had he been nurtured with motherly love and care? We do know that Baba/Jayraj compensated by being both mother and father to MJ, but still, we find glimpses of the little child who must've wanted to be loved or hugged or wished for a kind word from Nirmala.
Nirmala, could she have been a good mother had Rudra Pratap not played her as a pawn in his chess game, since the beginning?
Is Ek Boond Ishq about the lack of motherly love?
