Bombay Samurai is a wacky affair - Kareena Kapoor

2013 was an okay year for Kareena Kapoor as she featured in a decent runner SATYAGRAHA followed by a box office and critical disappointment GORI TERE PYAAR MEIN. On the other big ticket film, SHUDDHI, was further delayed due to Hrithik Roshan's unavailability owing to his head injury.

Meanwhile Kareena has moved on and is all excited about the new phase of her career that would see her pair up with Farhan Akhtar for a Dev Benegal film which, contrary to perceptions, is as commercial a film as it gets.

"This film should keep me occupied in the coming months. I am quite excited since Farhan and I have never worked as co-stars. Now this film is very different and nice. In fact it is a whole new whacky affair. You have to see it to believe it," says Kareena in an enthusiastic tone.

She was in the Zoya Akhtar film to begin with but later decided to opt out. Though there was quite some noise made because of that, Kareena doesn't carry any regrets.

"Well, it is an actor's prerogative on what he or she really wants to pick and work on. If you don't get a right feeling about it, it's fine to move out. I hear that Zoya has got a different cast in place for the film. I am glad that has happened," she says in a matter of fact tone before signing off.

Smart choice of words. It wasnt a right fit for her, hence she decided to let it go. She didnt say it wasnt good.

She wouldnt dare say that. She loves the Akhtars and is working with Farhan and always speaks about how she wants to work with Zoya.
