Helllo, my bhoothis!! I know there has bbeen a lot of confusion going around about Devs disapperance, and what not. I think all the talk about Apu in a new look will show apu oops i mean Dev in disguise. Now i thoughtt of Two reasons why Dev may go under disguise.
A. Maybe Dev faked his own death, and we all know that Dev didnt die, hes alive, because he wants to get away from Kaajjal. He probably planned all this after Kaajjal used our sucidegiri, and jumped off the building. Since Dev knew he had no choice but to say yes to the marriage, I think he made a plan that he'll fake his own death, that way he wont marry kaajjal, and her life wont be in danger. So now he is in disguise, trying to hide away from Kaaajjal. But he's in disguise so if ever Kaajjal does find him, he'll have his new look to prove that hes not actually Dev but someone else. But our pyaari Devu doesnt know how ziddi hamari Kaju barfi is, she will prove to everyone and Dev himself that hes actaully Dev.
Or
B. Dev didnt fake his own death to stay away from kaajjal, but somehow after he got home, he found out about Ameeshas chaal, and about how she wants Dev dead, and wants all the property, and also that the mahadassha is fake. So Dev still had to fake his own death, just so he could go undercover, and thats where Apus new look comes from, and reveal the whole truth about Ameesha, and about the mahadasha. It could be that Apu -- oops i keep saying apu, i mean Dev, didnt want to stay away from his Kaju, but had to as he knows Ameesha wants to kill Dev, and could also kill Kaajjal, so he had to do all this.
