Have you guys ever thought that what does Tara mean and what does Mrityunjay mean.
Tara's literal meaning is a star. But Tara is also the name of a hindu goddess, an avatar of goddess Parvati wife of lord Shiva. The legend begins with the churning of the ocean between the Devas and Asuras. Lord Shiva drank the poison (Halahala) that was created from the churning of the ocean (in the process turning his throat blue and earning him the epithet Nilakantha), thus saving the world from destruction, but fell unconscious under its powerful effect. Then Tara Ma appeared and to save Lord Shiva.
Mrityunjay is another name for Lord Shiva. Mrityunjay means the one who has conquered death.
For a long time I have been wondering where I heard this name Tara. Once my dad said Tara is a very powerful goddess, more powerful than the lord Shiva himself. Today I decided to goggle and this is what I found in Wikipedia.
So, I think the makers of this show are very smart. Even the names say a lot about the character itself if you it a thought. I guess this is the 1st show where even the names have been very much thought over by the CVs.
Hope you enjoyed reading it. And a happy new year.
