Have you guys ever thought that what does Tara mean and what does Mrityunjay mean.

Tara's literal meaning is a star. But Tara is also the name of a hindu goddess, an avatar of goddess Parvati wife of lord Shiva. The legend begins with the churning of the ocean between the Devas and Asuras. Lord Shiva drank the poison (Halahala) that was created from the churning of the ocean (in the process turning his throat blue and earning him the epithet Nilakantha), thus saving the world from destruction, but fell unconscious under its powerful effect. Then Tara Ma appeared and to save Lord Shiva.

Mrityunjay is another name for Lord Shiva. Mrityunjay means the one who has conquered death.

For a long time I have been wondering where I heard this name Tara. Once my dad said Tara is a very powerful goddess, more powerful than the lord Shiva himself. Today I decided to goggle and this is what I found in Wikipedia.

So, I think the makers of this show are very smart. Even the names say a lot about the character itself if you it a thought. I guess this is the 1st show where even the names have been very much thought over by the CVs.

Hope you enjoyed reading it. And a happy new year.

Actually we had discussed this when the show had started!!!!!😊
They do this in many shows but they make it very obvious and they literally say it so many times in the show that you wish they would just stop drawing parallels!!!!!
However in this show it is very subtle!!!!!They did not use the more obvious ones like Rudra, Parvati, Gauri, etc!!!!!!
Plus it is something which they never mention in the show and the viewer has to find out for themselves!!!!!This is what makes it so special!!!!!
If you look at this not just their names but also their characters are based off it!!!!!
In the relationship MJ is the passive one while Tara is the more active one!!!!!MJ prefers to stay little detached and alone!!!!!!
Also like Parvati, Tara braves the sun, the rain, the fire and hunger to win her husband!!!!!!

tara, durga and kali symbolizes shakti/power.

Its said that parvati had to do a lot of tapasya to get lord shiva as her husband. Somewhat similar to what tara is doing for win MJ as her husband. There are lots of stark similarities if you actually think. Even parvati's mom didn't approve of her choice.
