I would gift MJ, a brooch, to add to his existing collection of vintage and designer brooches. This one is the world's costliest brooch.
A diamond brooch shaped like a peacock is perhaps the most expensive brooch made in recent history. Laurence Graff, the founder of Graff Diamonds is behind this valuable creation. Graff is known for his extravagant creations and it is not for nothing that he is known as the King of diamonds. But with the creation of this exclusive brooch Graff has outdone himself as the fine piece of jewelry is being valued at $100 million.
The ultra precious brooch was unveiled at the TEFAF fair being held at Maastricht in Netherlands. The diamond brooch has become the highlight of the exhibition this year not only because it carries the highest price tag but it has the wow factor that naturally attracts the visitors to the exhibition.
The exclusive brooch has been created by putting together 1,305 diamonds in different colors and sizes. They are all very valuable diamonds that add up to 120.81 carats. The central piece in the brooch is the pear-shaped Fancy Deep Blue diamond weighing in at over 20 carats. In fact it so large that it has been put in as a detachable piece and can be taken out of the peacock and worn separately as a brooch. In the peacock brooch this blue diamond is surrounded by an array white, pink, yellow, orange and even green diamonds. A riding habit and since she is a ring lover, with two rings already, I'd add to her collection with the following ring.
The Bulgari two-stone colored diamond and diamond ring sold for $15.7 million. The ring is set with a triangular-cut fancy vivid blue diamond, weighing 10.95 carats, and a triangular-cut diamond, weighing 9.87 carats, and dates from 1972.
It was purchased by an Asian collector after a three-way bidding battle in the Christie's, New York auction on May 19, 2010
Mariah
Now how can I forget the darling of both MJ and Tara, our very own prized possession, Mariah.
