Has anybody noticed that Sayunkta is the only one who has an effect on Randhir? When it comes to everybody else, Randhir is cool and confident but when it comes to sanyunkta, he gets competitive, worked up and loses his cool. I have noticed the difference in his behavior since day one. When he first saw her answering Vardhan sir's question, he calmly walked up and answered it too but the other day, when Sanyunkta, posing as Vardhan sir, told him to answer the question on the board, he ran like crazy over there, walked a little more and when he saw HER, he ran again.😆 It was evident that she became competition to him.
And during the Fresher's party a girl asked him to dance and he just ignored her but during that same party his eyes were looking for Sanyunkta, albeit it was because he had plans for her but that just shows that he is interested in her, just not romantically. Like he said himself, he gets angry whenever he sees her, only. The fact that her presence effects him is the the effect she has on him. Also, that scene when she came in the lab for a second, he noticed her and immediately left his work to bother her, but she completely ignored him and left the lab after finding the answer to something. To me, it was very clear that he was bothered cause he didn't get a reaction out of her.
Whether or not he admits it, subconsciously he is aware that she is his opponent, his competition. HE attacks, she defends. SHE attacks, he retaliates. Did you guys see how he told her to back off but she stood up to him and he too stood his ground. He calls it revenge but in reality, this is what we call competition. They might not be equals right now since Sanyunkta has a lot to learn compared to Randhir, but she has the passion that he lacks and that is why they make a great team. Unlike the other teams, they make up for what the other lacks. She has the creativeness and the passion to do something different and he has the knowledge to make her ideas possible.
And is it just me or did it seem like he was bothered when Kaustuki was wondering where Sanyunkta was? Since he heard Vardhan sir tell her to pack her bags and saw her mother come for her, I think he thought she just quit and left and he was upset about that since he's used to, and probably expected seeing her come back and put up a fight like each and every time. By calling her a loser, he expressed his disappointment. Then again this is just my opinion/interpretation of that small scene.
And to put an end to this looong post, I hope the CVs take the time for these two characters to explore each other's personalities and gradually show their relationship change from enemies to teammates to friends and to something more. I really hope they don't show something cliche and stupid like falling in love after one night in the jungle crap. Their relationship should move slow and steady since they clearly don't mean anything for each other right now and that just means we get to see a lot more scenes between them!😳
