"abbe saale jaldi darwaza khol... ARJUN!!!!!!"
Sameer banged his fist repeatedly against the main door. Argh! This was frustrating. His son, who was just five, was too impatient to be stay calm in his arms.
"Rishi stop! chachu aa rahe hai ruk. ARJUNNN!!!!!!!!!"
If anyone saw sameer Rathod now, they would call some police saying some one was hell bent on destroying ACP Rawte's house. He was continuously banging the door much to the annoyance of the neighbours.
"AAAYA...UPPFFF" *bang* *thud*
"Arjun tu theek to hai naa?"
"haan haan main theek hun. Ek minute ruk. Araha hun"
Sameer and rishi had to wait few more minutes and the door was opened by Arjun who was rubbing his... ahem!!! Bum?! What went wrong? Nothing much I would say.
Sameer let rishi down and he straight away ran to sofa where first rawte kid was seated.
"Arjun, ye kya haalat bana rakha hai tu ne?" sameer said eyeing Arjun who was covered in atta and chocolate.
"wo.."
"Bhabhi kahan hai? Kahin dikh nahin rahi?!"
"wo market gayi hai. Pooof!" he blew away the atta that was on his forearm.
"par tu aisa kyun hai?"
"tu kya jaane mere dost? Tera to ek hi hai.. chal tu baith main tere liye chai laata hun.."
Arjun went to the kitchen, and for once he peeped out. He was happy seeing his little girl sitting with her brother rishi and happily playing.
"ye raha chocolate... thoda stir karo... hmmm... ye melt kyun nahin ho raha?? Oops.. sam ka chai!!!"
Arjun stumbled on few vessels and pulled out a vessel in which he could make tea.
"chai patti kahan hai??? Ye bhi naa... kahan rakhti hai samajh hi nahin aata mujhe"
Outside in the hall sameer was busy admiring little cherubs. Those cute bundle of joys. He glanced down at his hand and saw almond coloured wide eyes staring him.
"aale mela karan... gussa aaya? Chachu nahin dekha na aapko?? Allele..." karan, little baby of 2, patted his cheeks and placed a sloppy kiss on his cheeks and smiled. Sameer nuzzled his stomach and blew raspberries causing karan to giggle.
"CHAACHUUU!!!!! Mera chocolate?" pari, who was of same age as karan, stood in front of sameer, her left hand outstretched.
"are... main to pari ke liye chocolate laana bhul gaya.." sameer pouted his lips and made a sad face. Rishi pulled pari down and whispered something in her ear.
Pari glared hard at sameer and took a step ahead.
"mamma aur chachi kehti hai, jhoot bolna paap hai"
Sameer saw her amused. She was just like her father, well with abundant craziness and innocence from her mother.
He let karan on ground and turned to pari and kneeled on ground.
"aur kya kehti hai aapki mamma aapse?" he hugged her and made her sit on his thigh.
"main bhi baithunga aap pe papa" rishi came running and jumped on sameer making him fall back.
"oops! Easy Rishi... papa hun tumhara... aaraam se" he sat and took both kids on his lap.
"ab batao mujhe. Kya kya kiya aapne subah se pari?"
"main? Main babies ke sath khel rahi thi... phir maine painting kiya baithke. Phir kitchen set mein khana banake papa ko khilaya...phir... aap mere ghode banoge chachu?" pari asked giving him a cute smile.
"chalo theek hai..." he said and shook his head.

In the mean time Arjun had managed to make a decent cup of chai between the mess he had made in the kitchen.
He poured it in a cup and started towards the hall.
"sameer... tera chawoaaahhh" he placed his right foot on the red skateboard that was lying there in the path which he had conveniently missed. He slid and the cup went flying and touched the ground with a crash. He somehow balanced himself and saw the mess around him.
"YE YAHAN KISNE CHODA? PARI!!!!!"
Pari who was on sameer's back when he was on his four, giggling and hopping on him, slid from his back due to loud tone of Arjun.
"sambhalke pari" sameer caught her before she fell and hurt herself.
"ye kya tareeka hai Arjun? aise koi chillata hai kya? Bacchi hai wo" sameer said hugging pari close.
"ye...ye dekho skate board. Aaj doosri baar girnewaala tha main iss se. saara samaan failaake rakhte hai ghar mein ye do shaitaan. Agar karan ko kuch ho jaata to?"
He felt tug in his pants and he saw down. His son karan was pulling at his pants and grinning at him.
"papa... utho" he said and lifted his hands.
Arjun lifted him in his arms and placed him on the sofa.
"pari, thoda sambhalke beta... agar aap khud gir jaate to?" Arjun said caressing her chubby cheeks and wiping the tears leaking from her eyes. He placed a loud kiss on her cheek and lifted her.
"papa" came another squeal and arjun turned to see karan with tears in his big eyes.
"alala mela baccha nahin rotey... good boy hona aap? Aajao papa ke paas..."
He sat and cuddled both kids in his arms. Sameer sat next to him and held rishi.
"aaj kya hai ye? ACP Rawte ka role change hogaya hai? Huh?!" sameer asked amused.
He was ready to bet any amount of money to guarantee that people in ETF were bound to faint if they saw Arjun in this avatar.
"kuch nahin yaar... wo bas riya... *sniff* shit (bit his tongue when pari glared him hard)... chocolate jal gaya... no no..." he placed his children next to sameer and dashed to kitchen, barely missing the china ware pieces on floor.
"Oh God... saara chocolate barbaad ho gaya... main bhi naa... ye kya? I should not keep the chocolate direct over the flames? Where was this instruction earlier dammit?!" he cursed under his breath and removed burnt vessel from the flames and dumped it in the bassinette and started the tap.
"Damn.. damn damn damn" he muttered and took a cleaning cloth and a broom and made his way out of kitchen.
He started sweeping the cup pieces and then mopped the entire area clean.
How could sameer leave the opportunity? He, all the time laughing, clicked the pics of Arjun.
"Papa bhooki..." karan said when he saw Arjun plopping down on the sofa.
"bhook laha hai? Chachu ke aane ke pehle hi to maine..." tears pooled in karan's eyes.
"accha accha theek hai. Tum didi aur bhaiyya ke saath khelo, main abhi duddu laata hun..." he ruffled his hair and went to kitchen.
He came out in minutes and made karan sit on his lap. He saw sameer busy with the two elder kids painting something in a book laughing.
He blew the milk in small cup and held it against karan's mouth, tilting it to a comfy angle so that he can drink. After few small gulps,
"papa bas"
"nahin baby... abhi to aapne ittusa hi piya hai... thoda aur baccha..."
Karan turned his face to other side.
"duddu nai" karan pouted.
"baby please... thoda sa... aa karo... aaa..." Arjun tried making him drink some more milk but karan pushed the glass away, making some spill on Arjun.
"karan... aaj aap aisa kyun kar rahe ho? Piyoge nahin to papa jaise kaise banoge ap? Bas...thoda aur... aa karo beta..." he some how made karan to have the entire milk he had glass. He wiped his mouth and face with a wet cloth and made him sip a little water.
"mere karan ki nappy gandi hai?" he asked while nuzzling his tummy to which karan nodded a no and giggled. Arjun left karan next to rishi and went to kitchen.
"gawd... nai Aisha... main arjun ke ghar mein hi hun... office nahin gaya main aaj... main rishi ko thodi na office le jaaunga? ... haan... rishi pari ke saath hai aur karan bhi hai. ... Arjun? kitchen gaya hai abhi. Haan... shaam tak aa jaaunga... love you"
Sameer kept his phone and sighed. He was finally relieved from baby sitting his pregnant wife on Sunday's job. Thanks to his mother in law who had asked him to take rishi out.
Phew!!! She did think he was in office romancing with his files and guns... yeah! According to her no one other than her was capable of handling him and that was true to cent.
He turned his attention to the three kids in front of him.
Karan was pushing the train on tracks and pari was busy with her coloring book and karan was too busy troubling pari by pulling out the colors.
Suddenly pari yelled
"STOP!!!" everyone turned to her including arjun, who had thought of taking rest for two minutes, completely forgetting about the kitchen.
"papa, jab mamma mousse banati hai to itna time to nahin lagta. Kahan hai chocolate mousse?"
"chocolate mousse? Wo mera favorite hai" said an excited karan, and immediately toned down when he saw sameer glaring him and nodding no.
It was now Arjun face palmed himself.
"shi...shi...shira... wo galti se chocolate jalgaya beta..."
"par mujhe chahiye... abhi" pari whined.
"pari..." he said warningly.
"no no no. mujhe chahiye bas"
Arjun was about to say something, but suddenly he was reminded how his wife had warned him not to upset any kid in her absence. He sighed and marched towards kitchen.
"how did he go back without a word?" sameer asked pari curiously.
"wo... mamma hai na... unki wajah se." pari giggled and went back to her task.
"aur bolo biwi ko ki bacchon ko sambhalna bilkul asaan hai" Arjun muttered filling a big vessel with water and immersing another nonstick vessel in it.
He grated generous amount of milk chocolate and filled them in smaller pan and lit flame. He stirred it occasionally. On the other burner, he filled vessel with water and equal amount of sugar and allowed caramel to cook.
"ye dono simultaneously horaha hai. Caramel to theek se banane rakh diya. I need to stir it also. Oh god riya ye sab kaise karti hai. Usse itne saare recepies aate kaha se hai? I never saw her using tab or lappy to get recepies unless they are something new"
He stirred chocolate and saw it ready. He saw the time
"uhoh... ab to khushi ke bhi jaagne ka waqt hogaya... GOD..."
He kept chocolate to cool and opened cream to mix with it. He waited it to cool a bit and checked on caramel.
"ab ye bhi ready hai... ab next kya hai?" he peered into laptop and read the instructions.
"now cream and chocolate..." he mixed cream and chocolate thoroughly and then added caramel mixing it well. He peered into lappy again and saw it was about same consistency as it was shown in picture.
"Good..." he pulled out small silicon cups from the cabinet and extracted gems pack from the box.
He poured freshly prepared mousse into those cups and put gems and little cream and chocolate crumbs on it. He took a little bit in his finger and licked it.
"riya ke mousse jaise to nahin hai par accha hai... its yummm... not bad Arjun rawte..." he patted his back and put entire tray in freezer.
He wiping his hand came out
"pari mousse is ready. Abhi maine freezer main rakha hai..." he trailed as he heard loud cry upstairs.
"khushi..." with that he ran to his room throwing the cloth aside. Samer held karan and followed Arjun now knowing the little angel was up. As on cue rishi and pari too followed them.
In ariya's bedroom.
Arjun immediately pulled his tshirt over over his head and tossed it aside. He picked a towel and wet it, cleaned his face and hands in jiffy.
He saw his little khushi, surrounded by mountain of pillows, going all red due to crying.
It pained him to see her cry but at the same time he could cuddle her in the mess he was.
The next moment he sat on bed and lifted baby in his arms, cooing softly in his arms. He smelled foul and immediately laid her on changing table.
"ganda baccha... itni jaldi ganda kardiya gudiya ne... chee chee... par koi aat nahin... abhi papa aapko wash karenge, aur phir diaper change karenge, doosra dress pehnayenge... googlugoogloogooo... he said blowing raspberries, making her laugh. He removed her soiled diaper and threw it in dustbin. He slowly wiped her with baby wipes and then removed her dress.
"sam, ek min isko busy rakh naa... main tub main paani bharta hun..." he left her wih sameer and went to bathroom.
"gudiya uth gayi?? Aawww... dekho.. chachu aaye hai aaj... ululu..." sameer made funny faces hovering above khushi who was just four months old.
Pari and rishi pulled chair and tried to stand on it and talk to their sister. Karan was still in sameer's arm, pulling his hair.
Khushi seemed to enjoy in the beginning but slowly her face fell and tears started pooling.
She let out a small sob and sameer called for Arjun.
"Arjun jaldi aa yaar.. wo ro rahi hai..."
"aaya sameer..."
Arjun came out running and lifted his baby daughter in his arms and moved towards bathroom.
"abbe, koi shirt to pehanle..." sameer teased him.
"pehanke koi faida nahin hai. Mera shirt utarwaye bina chain nahin milta isko" he kissed her cheek and slowly placed her in the small baby tub, supporting her neck well.
He let small amount of water on her, and she giggled. Unlike most kids, she loved taking bath and she always made sure she had loads of fun.
Sameer too went to bathroom and sat on slab, watching father daughter duo fondly.
Arjun quickly washed her and took her out of tub, not before he was completely drenched. He wrapped her in a fluffy towel and took her out to the room and kept on changing table.
In all these, the two elders, completely forget three more kids in the room, who were now no where in sight.
Arjun wiped his baby with towel gently and then applied baby cream generously. Sameer took baby powder and applied on her, making funny faces and making her giggle.
Arjun had gone downstairs to bring feeding bottle and when he came back he saw sameer and khushi playing happily. He kept the bottle aside and brought out the diaper from drawer and made her wear it. He handed sameer a white frock and was about to sit on bed with her, when he saw his own drenched self.
"sam, isse pakad na... main abhi jaake kapde badal ke aata hun..."
Sameer nodded and took khushi in his arms and sat on bed, trying to feed her from the bottle but in vain.
Arjun pulled towel and fresh set of cloths from wardrobe and entered bathroom.
The sight he saw in there shook him.
"WHAT THE HELL??!!!" he screamed on top of his voice grabbing all attention and making khushi cry.
He immediately lifted khushi in his arms and shushed her.
Sameer peeped into bathroom and stood with his mouth hung open.
Pari, rishi and karan were completely drenched in water, with sameer sitting in baby tub, which was previously emptied by Arjun but now filled with water. Rishi's face had weird cream and the same cream was on pari's hand.
He saw shampoo bottle open and generous amount on floor too.
"ye...ye kya kiya tumlogon ne?"
"hum khel rahe hai chachu... dekho maine rishi ke chehre pe shaving cream bhi lagaya hai" she cutely smiled.
"sameer, ye bottle le. tu isse doodh pila. Main in shaitanon ko dekhta hun"
"Pari, rishi karan, ye kya haal bana rakha hai tum logon ne? aur ye shaving cream. Ye kahan se aaya yahan?" he asked with hands on his hips.
"papa wo maine na chair pe chadke slab se utara. Dekhoo na.. rishi bhaiyya bilkul aap jaise lag rahe hai?"
Arjun was not sure if he has to laugh or frown at his kids. His gaze went to little karan who was happily splashing the water in tub.
"Rishi pehle tum yahan aao." Like a good boy he was, he came to Arjun and was lifted off the ground immediately.
He first removed cream with his hand and then washed his face gently removing the cream. He kept him on floor and stopped pari from putting cream on him again.
"pari, tum aur bhi zyada shaitan hoti jaa rahi ho. Aisa nahin karte beta. Ab dekho. Aap teeno bheeg chuke ho, sardi ho gayi to?" he said wiping her hand, and kept her down. He lifted karan out of made all three stand on mat outside the washroom.
He brought out three large towels and stripped each of them and wrapped in the towels. He made them sit on bed and wiped water completely. He changed karan's diaper and made him wear dress, and also made pari wear a beautiful frock.
"sameer, rishi ke kapde?"
"neeche bag mein hai. Main leke..."
"nahin u ruk. Main aata hun. Khushi ne doodh khatm kiya kya?"
"abhi tak nahin."
"theek hai. Abhi aata hun.
Within minutes, he was back and dressed rishi too.
"ab se aisi koi shaitaani nahin karoge. Samjhe ya..."
"samajh gaye papa/chachu" they said in chorus.
"Arjun, tu bhi change karle."
"haan.. abhi aaya. Tu bacchon ko neeche leke jaa. Khushi ko chod de bed pe. Main dekh loonga"
"ok.."
Within minutes he changed into cargo half pants and black vest. He took khushi and her feeding bottle and went down, sat on sofa and fed her. he saw the kids silent and asked
"chup kyun ho sab? Kya baat hai?"
"chachu bhook laga hai" rishi said putting hand on tummy.
"mujhe bhi papa" pari piped in.
"mujhe" karan said, sitting on pari's lap.
"uh... aapke mamma ne vegetable rice banake rakha hai. Main abhi garam karta hun. Khushi ab chachu ke paas jaayegi na..." he tried to hand her to samer but she started tearing up. He patted her gently and cooed in her ears.
"na na... gudiya papa ke paas hi rahegi... chalo... didi aur bhaiyya ke liye khana garam karte hai hum..."
It was very difficult for him to take out dishes from fridge and heat them in oven with khushi in his hands.
Just then sameer entered and helped him out.
They quickly heated the food and sat to eat. Khushi was in his arms and karan on arjun's lap. He was feeding karan small morsels and himself finished his meal. He kkept an eye on pari, who was fussing to eat food.
"pari, chup chaap khalo beta. Nahin to mamma hum donon ko daantegi. Dekho rishi bhi chupchaap kha raha hai"
"papa mujhe mousse chahiye..."
"pehle khana khao phir doonga main..."
"par papa"
"no arguments pari" he said sternly and went in to keep his plate and wash karan's mouth.
Not after long, they all sat on sofa, watching cartoon, with chocolate mousse in hand. Khushi snuggled in arjun's arms, and karan sitting on arjun's lap with head on his shoulder, pari sitting next to him, hugging him closely. Arjun's hand protectively over her. next to her was rishi, snuggled to sameer.
This is how riya and Aisha found them two hours later. Aisha supported her pregnant belly with her hand and fished out her mobile and snapped a pic of their sleeping family.
Riya eyes around the room and then tip-toed into kitchen. She saw things scattered, toys piled in a corner.
She smiled at Aisha as she led her to sofa.
"no wonder Arjun and sameer are asleep now. looking around, I can say kids have kept them, especially Arjun on toes. None of them have the same cloths they had on in the morning" riya giggled.
"aur rishi ka bhi" Aisha pointed and giggled.
"mousse?!" riya picked a cup and smelt it
"its not the regular one I bake. Iska matlab... Arjun?!"
He lovingly saw him and gentle tried to take sleeping khushi out of his arms. But that slightest movement awoke him.
"riya..." he said groggily. Sameer too got up by then, rubbing his eyes.
"Aisha?" he said to which Aisha smiled.
"Arjun, bacchon ne zyada sataya o nahin?" she ran a hand on karan's and pari's head.
"pareshaan? Not really. But they did keep me on toes" he chuckled.
"but I had fun. Accha lag raha hai bacchon ke saath time spend karke"
He kissed croen of his kids and rishi.
"Aisha tum yahan kaise?" Sameer asked her.
"wo riya hamare ghar mein thi. Maine socha ki yahan aaj raat hum donon rahe. To main aa gayi" she smiled.
"theek hai." He kissed rishi and made him lay on sofa and went to Aisha and sat next to her.
"mousse tumne banaya Arjun?" she asked him tenderly, and Arjun nodded with a sheepish grin.
"pari ka demand. She is handful you know. Rishi ko to aaj usne..."
That was their little family, a happy family. Their kids, and the day out of daddy's with t heir babies.
