24 December marks the birthday of a Legendary actor:

Mr. Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor was born in Mumbai to a Punjabi-speaking family. His father Surinder Kapoor was a film producer, his elder brother Boney Kapoor is also a film producer while his younger brother Sanjay Kapoor also appears in Hindi films as an actor. He married Sunita Kapoor in 1984. His elder daughter Sonam Kapoor is also a film actress.

Kapoor was fan of veteran film actor Raj Kapoor and this was also visible in his acting later. He made his debut with a supporting role in Umesh Mehra's Hamare Tumhare in 1979 and later got his leading role in Who Saat Din in 1983. He was recognized as an actor after his work in Yash Chopra's Mashaal. This film won him his first Filmfare Award. He delivered some big hits in the mid 80s with Meri Jung, Karma and a sci-fi film Mr. India. In 1988, he alongside Madhuri Dixit delivered a super-hit film Tezaab, and won his Filmfare Award in Best Actor category. His success continued with films like Ram Lakhan and Parinda.

After the successful wrap up of his Television series '24', Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor is busy shooting for 'Welcome Back' with co-actors John Abraham and Nana Patekar and producer Firoz Nadiadwala in Dubai.

Anil Kapoor, who turns 57 today (December 24) celebrated his birthday with the cast and crew on the sets of the film. producer Firoz Nadiadwala also shares his birthday with Anil Kapoor.
