Jodha without much hesitation for the first time told Hamida that she would give this relationship a try. Very obliging and condescending of her, I am sure!
I felt Jo's response was very sincere. It reminded me of the scene when Jo had gone to congratulate Hamida on Ruqu's pregnancy. At that time Hamida expected the same news from Jo..She has come a long way since then.
Now that Jalal is not giving her the same attention and respect, she is unable to digest it. Its sad but true, that actual value of a possession is felt only when its not with us. Jodha has been made to believe now that Jalal does not consider her special and she does NOT like it one bit. Except that it is not just that he wants to give the impression that he does not consider her special, but also that he considers her beneath his notice.
Ja overreacts when Jo is involved, whether good or bad. Yes, I agree he is trying to humiliate her big time. But, his wounds are clearly visible and we know he still wishes that Jo loved him.
Jodha is going through the same cycle that Jalal went through. Jalal has already realized Jodha's importance in his life, its Jodha's turn to do so now. The more she lets go of her pride, the easier she will be able to get to this realization.
I did not like the new Moti at all. She does not know how to act and on top of it her demeanor was that of dasi, not Jodha's friend.
I agree that the new Moti is most unsatisfactory. She cannot get her lines right, and cannot even pronounce Benazir properly. The exchange between her Jodha was interesting in that it merely demonstrated that what apni Jodha misses is not Jalal, but the excessive bhav he gave her, and the khaas begum position as well.
This is only a variation of the theme I had developed in one of my earlier posts, that what Jodha will come to love is not Jalal ,but the eager grateful pupil that he had become. '
Now that is gone, and it is time for her to wake up and smell the coffee, Good!! I hope the old Jalal does not come back any time soon.
Jalal has been very accepting of Jo from the beginning, it didnt take him long to understand Jo and her goodness. The reason being that it was only his pride/ego that was hurt. Nobody in the past has dared to openly confront him and declare their hatred. He started liking this quality and also wanted her to understand him. For Jo, it was not a simple ego hurt. She was prejudiced from the beginning against Mughals for good reasons (Kaali Maa), was then forced to marry out of religion and then there was open war between JaJo after wedding. MC was huge dishonor for Jo. When you have so many wounds, I guess its hard to see other persons goodness. Specially if they were the ones that caused the wounds.
Unknowingly she did get used to Jalal's care and special treatment. But, she was ready to give the same thing back. Be it lunch date, tel maalish, his bday gift or reaching out to him like no one else did after pregnancy track. She thanked and apologized sincerely after he restored her honor. She also thanked him again for solving Tasneem's case. If all she cared was for him to giver her perks, then there was no need for her to give anything back. She understands now very well that Jalal is a good human being, with a very good heart. The thing that is bothering her the MOST is the fact that she is in bad books of a man that she admires and respects. She values Jalal's opinion about her, and cannot digest that its bad right now - that's my take...
