Hi NB6 viewers,
I just noticed something related to the female contestant's costumes in the episodes that I wanted to discuss with you all. I noticed that whenever they are wearing clothes that don't exactly cover their body properly, they use shawls or dupattas to cover themselves when they are not performing and sitting with other contestants. Like in today's episode, I noticed that Ms. Asha Negi and Mrs. Ridhi Dogra Vashisth did that. Then when they dance, obviously, they get rid of that dupatta.
These sort of costumes that are a bit revealing and skin tight may be required for the performance, but without being a designer, I can use my minimal fashion sense to say that they can definitely be made a little bit more conservative to make them more watchable for families.
My main question to you all is : If the clothes are so inappropriate that the female contestants are using dupattas to cover themselves while not performing then how do those same outfits suddenly become appropriate during dancing when everybody's eyes are on that person? Isn't that sorta hypocritical ? And What suddenly changes on weekends of Star Plus that couples use sensuous clothes, postures, steps and body language to make their performance acceptable to judges ? If Star Plus is a family-oriented channel with saas-bahu sagas and family and cultural sagas on weekdays then what is it about "weekends" that makes them allow sensuality and sometimes vulgarity ? Feel free to agree or disagree, but with respect please. We are all human beings discussing a show we watch. It doesn't need to cause fights. Thanks for reading.
