Will Rahman Let Salman Walk Away With His Jai Ho' Title?
When we first hear the term Jai Ho, it is obvious that we begin humming A. R. Rahman's Oscar winning song from the Danny Boyle directorial Slumdog Millionaire. However, with superstar Salman Khan's next film running the same title in their upcoming film, the entire connotation of the terms will change for most Indians.
A R Rahman and Salman Khan at an event
A leading daily reported an interesting fact about the film that the title Jai Ho had earlier been trademarked by music composer Rahman. Since the title remains close to the heart of the musician, Rahman had in mind the vague idea of making a movie titled the same.
Sources close to both Salman Khan and Rahman were unsure how this issue is being dealt with given it is trademark breach, but since the Superstar and musician are well-known to each other, it might perhaps get sorted out in their personal circle itself.
However, the film has already reached its clearance level at the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association and hence the film's title will obviously be retained unless Rahman claims otherwise.
