A lot has been said about Gayatri (Sonali Verma) quitting her Star Plus' show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (Director's Kut) to get married to businessman Sachin Sachdeva and settle in the US for good.

And the way her character will bid farewell will definitely be in an unusual manner.

Here are the details...

Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akshara (Hina Khan) will decide to take their son Naksh (Shivansh Kotia) on a rock climbing expedition. Feeling that something is going to happen with Akshara, Gayatri will want to go along with them.

The family will be happily enjoying watching the kid doing daredevil stunts, when suddenly Gayatri will slip from the high mountains and cling to a tree branch fighting for her life.

Though the family will try hard to save the woman, sadly she will slip to fall down thousands of feet below and breathe her last. The entire family will be left shocked and shaken with this accident. Incidentally, this is for the first time that the show will see a death in the family.

To know more about the same we got in touch with Sonali who said, "I do not want to give out all the details but all I can say is that as an actor, it was a very different and interesting experience. Also hanging on a cliff in all the dust and heat was a difficult task but then as an actor you have to enjoy all of this as part of your job."

When we asked Sonali that since she will shift base now, does she have any plans of coming back to small screen, the TV journalist turned actor quipped, "I have been into the industry for around 17 years and have seen it grow so much. So it has been a fruitful journey. And I don't know what life has in store for me. But I love TV and would love to get back someday."

"Since both of us are from Delhi, the marriage has been planned there. So right now I am just getting done with all the work. Having lived in Mumbai for 10 years there is a lot of formalities to get done with. So I am just packing off. I will surely miss Yeh Rishta... team a lot," she added.

We wish the talented actor a happy life ahead.
