Amazing post...

I never thought I will fall in love with a fictional character...
But I did...
I have fallen head over heels for arnav singh raizada...
This all because of his acting... barun's acting...
Watching it again and again...
I am again falling for him...

THE ONLY ACTOR WHO CAN CHANGE HIS EXPRESSION IN HIS

MOVEMENT IN A JIFFY IS BARUN

HIS ACTING WAS NEVER ACTING HE IS A BORN LEGEND

HE HAS TOUCHED THE HEARTS OF ALL AGES WITH HIS

Passed on your regards and at the moment she is sad that IPK ended... keeps asking me about Sobti's movies and likely release... I have no answers for her at the moment.😆

Speaking of the Aisa kyun hota hai scene ,,,,,,,,,,,, remembered watching it with my hubby and he was bowled over is putting it mildly. He is the most unromantic guy but I could see how the scene affected him. Kudos to the fantastic twosome for bringing out such soft feelings in the most practical person😉

I have yet to see any show with such superb music...and actually was another reason for a beautiful final product. I remember your post dedicated to Raju Singh. The interesting part is he has done other shows and is doing some more post IPK but nothing has really been this effective. Like one of the cast mentioned that there was a magical blend in IPK - the casting, music, writing, camera... actually everything.
😃

Hi Indrani,
I am so glad you made this post. You are so good in your analysis of Barun's acting!!!! I think that he is the best actor of our times. I have compared his acting to some of the iconic actors of BW and HW and I have to say for me he is a better actor. Barun played ASR to perfection. He really understood the character so well that when he played ASR he took on the characteristics of ASR and made ASR seem real. Barun has the ability to get under the skin of a character. I used to watch BHPH and I thought he did a great job playing his character of a happy go lucky on that but in IPK he was even better. I really liked him on BHPH but I totally fell in luv with him when I saw him on IPK. I have watched other soaps but never to a point of obsession but with IPK I have totally gone overboard. I see the makings of a huge star in him. I just hope that he gets all the right breaks. He totally deserves it.

Amazing post Indi. Thanks for making it. After a while I am inspired to comment at length on a post!!

After Mr Darcy, I have never loved a fictional hero as much as I have loved ASR!! He was written so well, but acted to perfection by Barun. Right down to the American accent of Mr Harvard, he got it right. Barun brought something to the character of ASR, that I have rarely seen displayed by Indian TV actors.

IPKKND was my first Indian TV show, but since IPKKND, I have watched a few and no one's performance has compared to how Barun played ASR. He made us love a somewhat unlikable guy. A guy with a cruel streak. But a guy who was vulnerable inside. A guy who did anything not to fall weak.

Barun was able to communicate the softer and vulnerable side of ASR to the audience in the same way that he was able to communicate the hard and ruthless side. While his mouth spewed angry and cruel words, his eyes communicated sadness and regret. Not an easy feat. But Barun was able to do this to perfection. It is no wonder that people from ALL over the world were madly in love with ASR, and him!! The fact that 1 year after the show ended, people are still as obsessed with the show and him is a testament to how he played ASR! Anything in his future career that he does will always be benchmarked against ASR! He will always have to out do ASR.

But to me, ASR will be someone that I will continue to be in love with thanks to Barun Sobati!!

As for Sanaya...what can I say about this girl? She made Khushi real for me. Right down to the last nuance about her. She had Khushi down. Emotions, comedy, tragedy, you name it. SI made Khushi real. I loved her for her spunk, and for her heart. Together, ARSHI became my new Liz and Darcy!! I will always love them and love Barun and Sanaya for playing them to perfection!!

Shows become popular because there are good or popular actors (whatever the character they are playing), or because the characters are loved (whoever is cast). It is very rare that you get a situation where the very thought of the character not being the actor is anathema to anybody who has watched IPK.
Barun did that to ASR - he not only grabbed, moulded and defined the written character, but he also reached outside the screen and grabbed, entranced and held captive all viewers.
A lot has been written about his subtlety in acting, the nuances he brings to each scene, his use of his eyes, facial muscles, his expressions, his voice. All complemented by incredible good looks and screen presence. One can always find something new at each viewing.

While he played the complexities of ASR so well, what I find even more remarkable is Barun's acting of ASR outside the love story or the sister/past story. I have always been struck by how he changed his body language, demeanour and voice when being with Payal, Buaji, Naniji and ofcourse Aakash and NK But more with the women - his voice and face was always soft when interacting with Payal (whether because she was Khushi's sister or Aakash's love I don't know), he always had this affectionate but respectful son-in-law attitude to buaji and ofcourse being the obstinate but loving kid at heart with nani. With each woman it was different. It seemed to me that Barun has an understanding of women that few actors have shown - such that even scenes where he is not the lover or brother or antagonist have stood out. That is not usual among other lead actors.

Can't tire of seeing his acting or reading about his acting. One can only wonder how much more he has to show and wait for that for come.

Thanks for making this post.

Thanks for reading my views. I am not a fan of any actor, but there are a few whose work I like and become reasons for giving their subsequent shows/movies a trial look. Of course, I quit if it doesn't appeal me. Barun and Sanaya are added to that list. Now as I watch the show again and again, they are fast inching towards the top. Not that they don't deserve the top places, but I want to see them in more varied roles. And I know some day they will reach and stay there for a long long time. 😊

yes, durga,

i too do want to see them in many other roles. instinct tells me i won't be disappointed. but nothing like a real experience of that. barun did shravan in bhph too... as someone else has commented, i think it's arnav_khushifan, he was very good there too.

while you watched, he was indeed shravan. the character's appeal was crafted more around youthful cuteness rather than magnetic dynamic sensuality... and barun was all of that.

the switch to asr therefore was all the more stunning somewhere.

actors exude a certain aura... they are essentially a certain way themselves, whethrer they are raja or rank, hero or villain, sweet or not.

but i don't think i have ever seen anyone play with their personal aura, their appeal to this extent before... and that too for days on end. bhph went on for a year and a half as did ipk.

watch his off screens, even there the difference is somewhat apparent. i can't quite explain this, but he just feels different... totally, in both films. and it is not the grooming or makle up oinly. there are hints and shades of asr in shravan, but never will you confuse the two characters.

i recall when the sukhi shot was released with him in orange tee with a guitar. for a second you might think it is asr, but a what the in you will tell you it's not... he just felt different.

i find all this remarkable.
