So, what Katherine felt for Stefan was real.

Finally a post about Kat.. Doesn't she remind you of a Scarlet. That her love for Stefan cannot and will not make her lose sight of reality. That her survival will still be the most important thing for her. That her strength will still overpower her heart. That you may hate her, but you cannot not admire her. She is Katherine pierce. A survivor any and above everyone else.

When I heard that Kat might possibly die this season, I thought that she would try to redeem herself for Nadia, her daughter, and Stefan, whom she loved and still loves. Sadly, Nadia wasn't the one she wanted to live for. I think, and though I may not like it, that was sort of understandable. She just found Nadia and didn't seem eager to form a connection with her but she had over 100 years of history with Stefan. Stef is right though that he can't forgive her. But I think that if Kat dies, she will die with peace in her heart knowing that Stefan doesn't hate her and was there by her side when she died. Stefan had said throughout the entire series how he hated her, didn't care for her, didn't want anything to do with her. And yet, here he was, saving her life, watching over her, and comforting her when she most needs it with his support. Katherine can die knowing that Stefan, during her time of need, unselfishly sat there and watched over her with no hatred in his heart. He may not return her feelings and he may still have conflicted feelings for what transpired between them in all of these years, but he doesn't hate her and actually cared for her. I hope before Kat dies, she and Nadia reconcile as well.

Stefan will always be the hero. But he is an Ashley in her life. For all said and done she can chew a Stefan and spit him.out for dinner. Because Stefan can never be cruel to the point of not caring, while Kat will always be so. Stefans greatest strength will be his protection of her, while she wouldn't need so. She needs a Rhet. But we can't find any for her. I thought Damon could be that for a while. But now he is too far gone in her hatred of her.

That last scene between Stefan Kat made me hope.. But gahhhg he is jjust so wrong for her.

i am always confused about katherine's love interest.in the last episode of season 2 she said to elena "it's ok to love them both,i did".though i understand that she loved THE so called HERO most.then in season 4 katherine has found love in the form of elizah.i really am hell confused about her love interest.but i love her character.she is one of the best characters that julie plec has created.
