Desai Sisters & Their Faceless Grooms!

I'm more of a floater in this forum and I don't really make topics...but I was tempted to make a post today.

I've actually realized after watching today's episode, that not only has Kusum married a faceless groom today and completely unaware of who she has gotten married to (but as viewers, we know it is Danny behind the sehra)...but similarly few months back, Kumud also had married a faceless groom and literally had know clue who she was marrying. I guess the reason why Pramad was suppose to remain faceless was to create curiosity around his character, because his entry scene had to be introduced in a very dramatic revelation. Danny had to remain faceless because to create tension of who ultimately would marry Kusum.

So I don't know if this is some trend, where Desai sisters have miraculously gotten married to faceless grooms without really knowing who is behind the sehra! 😆 I find that quite funny, that not even once did any of the sisters bother to find out how their grooms looked like! But then again, if they had known...both of them would have run away immediately and the story would not have gotten to where it is now.

Ofcourse, the only difference is that Kumud knew she was not getting married to Saras but some other stranger she did not know. Today, Kusum assumed she was getting married to Saras...but little did she know it was actually Saras's beloved brother performing all the rituals with her.

Now, it is the reaction of the Desai sisters to their faceless grooms that really got me to think about this post. Kumud upon seeing Pramad for the very first time, learning about his true nature and almost being thrown off a bridge on her wedding night...actually decided to stay in the marriage and did not take any drastic step of escaping/suiciding. While we have Kusum, who we all know is going to have a bad reaction when she knows it was Danny who she married and she will attempt suicide. My question is, wouldn't it have made more sense if Kumud was the one who attempted suicide after getting her heartbroken by Saras and learning that she is married to a nightmare-of-a-husband? Kusum's reaction and drastic step upon the revelation of her faceless groom aka. Danny, is just totally over the top...especially when she knows Danny is a great guy. So what if she doesn't love him? Atleast Danny is no Pramad, and will try his level best to keep her happy. There was no need for this suicidal drama, especially when Kumud went through MUCH MORE than Kusum when Pramad was revealed to her after her marriage.

Anyway, I guess Desai sisters were destined (or should I say doomed) to marry faceless grooms. In Kumud's case, we sympathized with her...but in Kusum's case, I guess most of us sympathize with Danny more for being faceless during his marriage.

These are qualities that made Saras fall in love with Kumud in the first place.

Having said that. neither Kumud nor Kusum are what they started out as, in the show. Kumud was a strong character who stood up against blind tradition and conservatism. She would Not have stayed with Pramad, esp after he tried to kill her, even for her in-laws. And Kusum was not an evil character, just a normal younger sibling who loved her sister, though very often spoke thoughtlessly.😊

This faceless dulha is simply unbelievable. Desais never cared to see pramad's face n neither to see the one marrying Kusum. What a joke!!

Anyway I cannot sympathize with kusum though my heart goes to Danny n I hope he does have it in him to handle this nutty!!
