CHAPTER NINE :
He entered his room and controlled his anger when he saw all the mess done by her while Zoya was sitting on the bed and making a sketch while eating pizza.
'Zoya what is all this ?' He said while taking a pile of clothes from the floor and threw it on the bed and walked toward his wardrobe.
'I am sorry I was just finding out my sketchbook and now I am tired.' She said while taking a bite from the pizza slice.
'What is all this tired thing I am listening from last two days ? Are you fine ?' He asked her while turning back.
'Yes ! Just feeling a little low.' She said annoyingly.
'Where is Shona ?' He asked her.
'She is sleeping.' Zoya said as it was already too late.
'I forgot to tell you.' She said with her mouth full of pizza while he was keeping everything on the right place.
'Tell what ?' He asked her while taking the clothes from the bed.
'Ami called today and she asked me to come to New York for a month.' Zoya said happily. He was happy to know that although he wasn't going to leave her.
'Well I guess your demand is increasing day by day. Your father is asking you to stay at his place and your mother wants you to come to New York and look at my ami she left me alone with all this mess.' He said with his voice full of amusement and annoyance.
'Asad !' She whined. 'Its just today or I know how to keep my room clean.' She said while taking a sip from the cold drink.
'Ya who knows better than me.' He said annoyingly.
'Allah Miyaan ! What's wrong with you Asad ?' She exclaimed angrily. 'I don't know why husbands become so lazy after getting married ? You can't even clean your room for a day.' She said annoyingly.
'What else am I doing ? I am cleaning all this mess you have done. Even Ayat's room is more clean then ours. Learn something from her.' Asad said while taking all the papers from the floor she threw while making sketches.
'Ya because she is your daughter in this case, my poor baby is turning into a cleanliness freak day by day.' Zoya sighed sadly and Asad looked at her in disbelief while standing up from the floor.
'Thats a good thing Zoya.' Asad said while throwing the garbage in the dustbin.
'Its not. I don't want another OCD Ahmed Khan in my --- ' She couldn't finish and stood up and ran toward the bathroom while Asad ran after her.
'What happened Zoya ?' He asked her while going closer to her and he was shocked to see her vomiting in the sink.
'I don't know ---- I don't feel good.' She said while walking out with him. He made her sit back on the bed and checked her temperature while sitting on his knees infront of her.
'You are having fever too. Why didn't you tell me ?' He was getting worried now while she was quiet and trying to feel normal. 'Its all because of that pizza. Can't you stop eating that unhygienic food ? Its not good --- ' He said angrily but was interrupted by her.
'I think I am pregnant.' She said suddenly while looking at him. He looked at her with his eyes wide open.
'What ?' He was shocked. 'You think or you are ?' He asked.
'I am.' She said confusedly while rubbing her stomach. 'Maybe.' She wasn't sure still.
'But doctor said your health is not good enough to be pregnant again.' He said worriedly.
'Ya Allah ! Asad that was like four years back.' She said annoyingly while remembering the last appointment with the doctor after Ayat's birth.
'Ya ! So four years is so early. You should wait more.' Asad said worriedly while looking at her pale face.
'What do you mean by wait more ? I didn't do this by myself. And should I wait for 20 years so Ayat can take care of her baby brother ?' Zoya said annoyingly.
'I didn't mean that.' He said while controlling his possessive thoughts and felt better when she looked normal.
'Don't sit like that. Sit straight.' He said sternly when he saw her hugging her knees tightly.
'Asad please don't start all that again.' She said annoyingly as she remembered how he was over protective when she was pregnant before. ' Atleast let me meet a doctor first.' She said calmly this time.
'Ok. Lets go to the doctor now.' He said while standing up.
'No not now. I am tired, I need to sleep. We will go in the morning.' Zoya said while laying back on the bed.
'Ok. But take some medicines, let me get some milk for you.' He said while walking out of the room while she smiled at this new change she was feeling and closed her eyes for some time.

Zoya was lost in her thoughts while Ayat was watching TV while sleeping in her lap.
'Ami did you shee what bugs bunny did ?' Ayat asked her and Zoya smiled.
'Yes !' Zoya said even though she didn't notice anything.
'I love bunny. Can you get me a shoft toy of bunny ?' She asked him while looking up at her face.
'Ya I will get you one tomorrow.' Zoya said with a smile.
'Thank You Ami.' She said and kissed her on her cheek.
'You're welcome. Now lets go and sleep.' She switched off the TV and took her in her arms to go upstairs while Asad was going to come late due to his meetings he postponed because he took her to the doctor in morning.
'Ami you know Tom couldn't catch Jerry today too.' Ayat pouted while Zoya smiled while going upstairs.
'You want him to catch jerry ?' She asked her.
'Yes ! I want tom to eat jerry like this.' Ayat said while making faces of a monster who got something to eat after years.
'But why ? Jerry is so cute.' Zoya said while walking toward her room.
'But I like Tom. I love cats. Can I get a cattie too ?' She asked suddenly and Zoya couldn't say no even though she didn't want to spoil her by accepting all her demands.
'Ok. We will ask your abu first. I think he won't like it.' Zoya said while taking her to bed.
'I will ashk him.' Ayat said proudly.
'Ok. now go to sleep.' Zoya said and kissed her on her forehead.
'I don't want to shleep.' She pouted.
'Why ?' Zoya asked while sitting near her.
'Can we play something ?' Ayat asked excitedly.
'Now ? No !' Zoya said as she was tired and wanted to have some rest.
'Pleash ? Jusht one game.' She pleaded.
'Ok. Which game ?' Zoya asked her and she stood up from the bed and walked toward her little pink cabinet and took out a scarf and came back near Zoya.
'Eyesie lock.' Ayat ordered and Zoya closed her eyes and Ayat covered her eyes with her scarf.
'Shonu don't go downstairs. Just these two rooms.' Zoya said while tightening the blindfold.
'Ok. I won't.' Ayat said and walked away from her.
'Come on ami. Catch me if you can.' Ayat said excitedly while going to Asad's room from the door between both rooms. Zoya smiled and stood up while using her hands to find her. The door connecting both rooms closed suddenly and she walked toward the door.
'Shona you locked the door. Why ?' Zoya asked annoyingly. 'Then I guess you are still here in this room ?' Zoya asked her and she heard a clap sound. She was sure that Ayat was in the room now. She started walking carefully as she couldn't see anything because of the blindfold.
'Where are you Shonu ?' Zoya asked while walking toward the side where she heard the clap sound from. She was about to go near when she heard a loud clap near her ear. She moved back suddenly, for a second she was scared as Ayat ofcourse couldn't reach that high.
'Shona are you here ?' Zoya asked worriedly while turning back. She heard a clap sound again from other corner and she walked toward the sound and stopped when her hands felt something. She gulped while touching it moving her hands up to the face. The skin she was touching was rough with some cuts and dry patches. She could feel the face smiling at her.
Suddenly she moved her hands back and took two steps back. She was damn sure that was not Ayat even if Ayat was standing on the chair the body and face she touched was of a grown up girl.
'You caught me !' Someone whispered in her ear and chuckled a little. She removed the blindfold from her face as fast as she could and looked in the whole room but no one was there and there wasn't any light too. She switched on the lights but the electricity was gone.
'Ayat ? Where are you ?' Zoya asked still scared from the voice she heard. There was no answer. She looked under the bed and everywhere she wasn't in the room then who was clapping here ? She stood up while controlling her tears and tried to open the door joining both rooms but it was jammed. She tried another door too.
'Ayat are you there honey ?' Zoya asked while sobbing and wiped the tears off her face. There was no answer still, she took out the phone from her pocket and dialed Asad's number while crying as she was stuck in this room and both the doors were jammed while she wasn't sure about where was Ayat aswell.
She was about to call him when she heard Ayat's voice but she couldn't understand what she said.
'Ayat ? Are you there ?' Zoya asked her again.
'Yes ami but the door is locked and the light is gone.' Ayat said a little worried.
'Just stay near the door. Don't go anywhere, I am trying to open it and keep talking to me.' Zoya said feeling a little better to know she was safe and tried to open the door again but still it wasn't opening.
'Ayat ?' She asked again.
'Ami I am getting shcared. Its too dark here.' Ayat said worriedly.
'Don't look here and there Shona. I have called the guard he is fixing the electricity and he will come upstairs soon.' Zoya said while controlling her voice to not cry anymore.
'Ami I want you here. Can you come from the other door ?' Ayat asked her while sitting on the floor and Zoya could feel that she was crying now.
'Yes I am coming. Please don't cry Shona.' Zoya lied to her.
'Come now.' Ayat requested while crying and Zoya sat on the floor trying to understand what should she do.
'Please let me go. She is crying. Please !' Zoya requested in low voice to a creature she could feel the presence of near her. She wasn't scared anymore.
After a minute she tried to open the door again and was surprised to see it open. As soon as the door opened, Ayat ran toward her and hugged her tightly.
'Ami I was shcared !' Ayat said while wiping her tears and Zoya kissed her. She couldn't believe that Ayat was sitting safely in her lap. She noticed it wasn't dark anymore too. All the lights were on.
'Ami don't cry. I am fine.' Ayat said after a while. Zoya was crying again now and Ayat wiped her tears.
'Shonu we won't play this game ever.' Zoya was scared now. She still remembered the voice she heard.
'But why ami ? I am fine. I am a brave girl.' Ayat tried to console her. Asad entered the room and saw both of them sitting on the floor.
'What happened ?' He asked both of them confusedly. Ayat ran toward him while Zoya stood up.
'Abu the lightsh turned off all of a shudden.' Ayat said when he took her in his arms and walked toward Zoya.
'Ya guard told me that but why are you crying ?' Asad asked Zoya.
'Then I was locked in thish room remember how Dora was locked in her room. Same thing happened with me.' Ayat said excitedly as she wasn't scared anymore.
'What ?' Asad was shocked.
'Yesh then ami got shcared. Tell her abu I am a brave girl.' Ayat said to him hiding the fact that she was scared too and he looked at Zoya understanding everything.
'Shonu go and sleep now. Good Night.' Asad said while kissing her on her cheek.
'Good night abu.' Ayat said and hugged him and Asad made her stand again. She walked back to her room.
'What happened Zoya ?' Asad asked her worriedly and took her in a hug. She started crying again while placing her hands on his chest.
'Calm down Zoya. I am here.' Asad said while rubbing his hands on her back.
'I touched her. She was so close to me.' She stammerred during soft sobs and Asad was shocked on what he heard her saying.
