2 days later
It's been a day geet reached Canada, due to the time lag she is feeling sleepy during day and all awake during nights. Geet is frustrated with the change but will bear everything for maan. Its night in Canada now and geet is not feeling sleepy. She is tossing on the bed to catch some sleep but nothing helped. She got up and stood near the window looking outside, how beautiful the place is. Everything is full of lights and she is staying just few miles away her maan. What he might be doing now, it's time for everyone to sleep but she knows he will not sleep and sleep is very far away from him, his heart always be restless. If his heart is at peace then her heart won't be restless. She kept looking outside don't know how many hours. Feeling tired she finally fell asleep.
Next day morning, for every person morning will be like a fresh start and forget about yesterday's pain but for him every morning every night everyday every second filled with pain. He questions almighty every time why he is still alive? He don't know why he is still alive, he don't know why he is leading this life like a machine, like a lifeless soul. He knows his family is waiting for him, but he doesn't want to go and has no right to go. He didn't sleep the whole night; he was busy with his office work. He opened his laptop to check mails from his accountant regarding the new project but he didn't get any mail. His inbox is filled with so many messages, all are read but he replied to none. And there are 2 unread messages. He opened the first one.
Dear Maan,
Today is your birthday as usual I am here to wish you. Happy birthday maan. Ok... I know you don't like to celebrate your birthday and now don't stress your brain thinking how I know. Main TERA SAAYA hu aur main sab kuch jaanti hu (I am your shadow and I know everything). You know about you better than me. Ok ok.. Enough of myself appreciation I am here to inform you that you won't receive my mails for 2 days as I will be out of city. By the way why I am informing you as if I am gonna get reply from you. Hmmphhh

He kept the laptop aside and checked his phone; as usual her missed calls are there. He sighed and placed his mobile aside and went back to his laptop to check the other mail from her. He opened the other mail.
Hey maan,
Can you just where am i? no na I am in Canada, but don't worry I won't come to meet you and I don't want to meet you too because you never replied to my mails and calls and I am angry on you. I just want to tell you I am in Canada and bye...

"You are just few miles away from me" he thought. He closed the laptop again as he is not in a mood to do anything. He is so close to her yet so far; he wants to meet her but stopped himself. If he meets her then he will become weak in front of her. He is happy living alone and don't want anyone to disturb his life. From past 10 years he is living alone, he is habituated to be alone for rest of his life. But his shadow never leaves him; the shadow that he left 10 years back again came back for him and for his family. "You are spoiling your life waiting for me geet" thought maan. He can't do anything when it comes to geet, still she is not able to understand why he want to stay alone. "You are really testing my patience geet, don't come to me. Go from here before you regret for coming here" thought maan and went to his gym for his routine workout.
After one hour he completed his workout, his body is covered with sweat while he sat on the floor wiping his body with a towel. He went to his room and stood under the shower. He is drenched from top to bottom, it's very cool outside but the cold water which is drenching his body is not making any difference. He didn't flinch a bit because of the cold water. In these 10 years not only from heart but his body too became stone. He got ready for office, came down and went to kitchen. There are no one in his house except a house keeper to clean the house often. He doesn't even have a cook as he doesn't like anyone around him and know his personal life. He went to kitchen took a slice of bread and butter. After completing his breakfast, he went out and saw his driver already waiting for him. A small smirk formed on his lips seeing the fear on his face. Not only the driver, everyone are scared of him. He got into the car and driver is driving towards the office.
The whole atmosphere of the office became silent when they heard the footsteps of their boss. Their heartbeat rose with fear and don't know whom he will fire today. In the whole office the only person who can talk with maan is his secretary Miss. Elina, a 45 year old lady. At least maan respects her for her age. Maan's bodyguards followed him till he reached the lift, once he entered into the lift they stood back. Maan pressed the 12th floor and within seconds he reached the 12th floor. Once he is out of the lift, he walked to his cabin without glancing a single person and didn't care their wishes. When he went to his cabin everyone sighed and took their seats.
"There is a limit for everything. Seriously, every single person is damn scared of him as if he is some don but not boss" thought geet who is in office for an interview to the Senior Architect post. The interview process has started and maan himself is taking interviews. Geet, who was confident till now when came to know that maan is taking the interviews her heart sinked and she totally lost her confidence. "God, please help me. I need this job at any cost" prayed geet and soon her name is called. Maan along with 2 more HR'S are in the interview panel. Most of the questions were asked by HR. "Damn, he is such a good listener if anything went wrong then I am dead" thought geet and entered into the room feeling tensed.
They know each other more than anyone else but still they are strangers. Maan didn't even glanced at geet but one of the HR is staring at geet, she looked familiar for him. But he kept his thoughts aside and continued the interview process. Her every answer is perfect, geet who is scared thinking maan will take the interview is now gained her confidence by seeing the same maan. Once in a while maan too asked her the questions, she thought he will recognize her and ask her how is she? But she is expecting too much and she knows it.
Once the interview is done, HR's asked them to wait outside as the results will be declared in 2 hours. Geet went to caf in the office to grab some coffee and sandwich. When she is sipping her coffee she saw the HR's are coming towards the caf. She smiled at them, one of the HR came to her and asked "So you are back"Geet looked at him for a second and nodded. "But why you came now?" he asked. This time geet stared at him. "Don't look at me like that geet, nothing is going to change being you here or there. Its waste of your time" he told. Geet smiled a little, "I want this job at any cost arjun, I don't know what you are going to do but I want this job by hook or crook" demanded geet.
