I actually felt bad for Ishana. Whenever she realizes that she needs to move on, it is Nikhil's mom & naani who made her feel otherwise and confused her. She should really pay more attention to her own mom's words than that of others. She sounded like she was planning to 'save' Nikhil but it would be a wonderful twist if she plans to something else instead.

Ishana's mum was sensible in telling her that what's the point in buying hairclips when there is no hair to clip them on. There's no point in pursuing something that doesn't belong to you even if you had possession of it earlier. I disagree that Ishana is a negative character or that she is trying to take Lajo away from Nikhil. Nikhil refuses to let go of Ishana. Nikhil needs to realize that he is a married man and needs to stop stringing Ishana along. Nikhil needs to take a stand and choose the person he wants to be with. Nikhil and ishana have spent their entire childhood together and eventually fell in love. As of today Lajo is the 3rd wheel because both Nikhil and Ishana think that they are in love with each other. Since Nikhil has not shown enough backbone we need Lajo to take a stand and walk out of NIkhil's life keeping her dignity intact and refusing to put up with any nonsense from Barkha or Naani. Nikhil will not realize Lajo's importance in his life till she leaves him and once he does Ishana's chapter will be over. I dont think Ishana will plot to separate Nikhil and Lajo. She will accept defeat gracefully and go to London for higher studies.
