Scene 1
We see two kids Manav and Nidhi enjoying themselves in a large shopping mall. Eventually, they spot a lady there and are shocked to realize that it's their mother. They start following her, but suddenly someone starts firing gunshots and there's pandemonium in the mall. The kids take cover in a corner and their concerned father comes up to protect them. They tell him that they saw their mother there. Meanwhile, we see that a security guard has been killed in the shootout. Another one summons the CID.
Scene 2
Daya sir, Freddy sir, Sachin and Shreya are seen examining the victim's corpse. Daya sir says that the killer was a remarkably precise marksman, to deliver a fatal gunshot cleanly through the entire crowd there. He tells Freddy sir to interrogate bystanders and reprimands the security incharge for carelessly letting an armed person enter the mall. The man says that the victim Mannu was just a regular guard there and a well-mannered man. Freddy sir comes up with the kids and their father Prem, who explains what had happened and informs them that his wife Nimisha had been killed in a road accident 6 years ago. The kids insist that the lady they saw was their mom. Daya sir suspects that this lady's appearance and the shootout could possibly be connected. He asks Sachin to collect all possible clues and CCTV footage from the mall, to look for both the lady and the unidentified shooter.
Scene 3
Freddy sir arrives in the bureau with the ballistic report of the two bullets found at the crime scene, which are of 0.45 and 0.35 calibres respectively, implying there were two armed assailants. Abhijeet sir reveals that Mannu was a decent guy with no criminal record. Purvi checks the CCTV footage and sees Manav and Nidhi gesturing at a certain point. Checking that part, they see a lady in green ducking as soon as the shootout begins; the bullet hits Mannu instead who had been in front of her. ACP sir implies that this lady was the original target of the killers. Abhijeet sir wonders if this was Nimisha. Pankaj brings in Prem and his children, who soon recognize her. Freddy sir points out that it could be a lookalike as well, but Prem says the kids insist it was her mother. ACP sir takes him aside and asks how Nimisha can be alive, when he himself had claimed to carry out her funeral rites after her death. Prem confirms that a postmortem had been performed as well. Abhijeet asks why Nimisha would intentionally stay hidden from her family like that. Prem says that their family was very happy together with no clashes whatsoever. ACP sir allows them to leave and says they need to revisit the mall and find out what happened to the lady after the shootout. He also decides to interrogate the doctor who supposedly conducted her postmortem.
Scene 4
Sachin, Purvi and Pankaj visit one Dr. Tigmashu and request to check Nimisha's postmortem report, which shows that she was found dead and badly burned waist upwards, her death apparently caused by brain haemorrhage and multiple fractures. They ascertained her identity as Nimisha by blood and DNA tests. The doctor insists that his conclusion is correct; Sachin asks for a copy of the report.
Scene 5
Daya sir and the team check various areas and fire exits of the mall and question people about the lady, but fail to find anything. They visit the parking lot and one of the attendants there remembers seeing the lady running in one direction. They check there and Freddy sir finds a revolver lying under one of the cars. Daya sir finds four bullets still inside and asks for it to be sent to ballistic testing. They check the parking register and note that 5 cars exited the mall following the shootout. Daya sir asks Sachin to find out about those vehicles' owners, as one of them is either the lady or the killer.
Scene 6
Abhijeet sir arrives with the ballistic report of the revolver, which says neither of the two bullets they found earlier didn't come from it, implying Nimisha didn't fire them. He says the two missing bullets in the revolver could've been fired elsewhere. Pankaj and Freddy sir construe that some enemy in Nimisha's office must've tried to kill her via the deliberate accident, and then made another attempt in the mall when the first one failed. Purvi informs ACP sir that the owner of one of those five cars, Ankush, isn't answering his phone. ACP sir instructs her to find out about his registration details from the RTO.
Scene 7
When Ankush's doorbell is unanswered, Sachin, Purvi and Pankaj break in and find the house vacant. Sachin sees a partially emptied cup of tea and construes there was some visitor who left in a hurry. They search the place and Pankaj sees marks of a certain cupboard having been dragged. They pull it aside and find a hidden niche with a large box behind it. Inside the box, they find much cash, a couple of guns and fake passports. Sachin says this guy is connected to Nimisha in some way, or he wouldn't have helped her escape. They also find a map with a shopping complex in Malvi nagar and a building adjacent to a temple marked. Sachin says they need to check these sites.
Scene 8
The team arrives at the building near the temple, which is still being constructed, and explore it with weapons drawn. Pankaj finds a guy standing in one of the floors and holds him at gunpoint. The guy says he's the contractor of the same building and overseeing the construction. Purvi finds the corpse of a man on another floor, shot dead. The contractor says he knows nothing about the murder. Sachin finds an empty gun box there and discovers a larger sniper rifle fallen nearby. He construes the guy was a sniper and lying in wait. Since Prem had said he was going to visit the temple with his kids before going to the mall, he says they must've been his targets. Purvi finds a cellphone nearby and checks it to find messages from a private number asking "kaam hua ya nahi". Pankaj says this unknown person must've attacked Prem and his kids in the mall after receiving no reply from the sniper. Sachin says they need to find out who this sniper actually was.
Scene 9
Abhijeet sir says they found several fake passports in the sniper's house, and he was killed with the same revolver they found in the mall. He and ACP sir imply that Nimisha must've killed him to save her family. Freddy sir wonders how she knew that her family was going to the temple and about to be attacked. ACP sir says she found out somehow and followed them to the mall, and was attacked herself. Purvi finds out that the sniper was a professional hitman named Ramesh; none other than Ankush, the owner of the car. Abhijeet sir says Nimisha was either connected with these people earlier in some way, or knew some secret connected to them. Pankaj says that at one of the four addresses they'd obtained from the sniper's mobile, the phone isn't being answered. ACP sir says Nimisha is somehow connected to these addresses and tells them to check up on the fourth one.
Scene 10
The team questions the man at the fourth address about Ramesh; he recognizes him as a guy who'd come there to repair their cable. He recognizes Nimisha's photo but says she's Aditi who had been staying there on rent. He shows them a copy of the agreements to prove it. Sachin says she'd been living there under a pseudonym, for some reason. The man says she used to stay there only once a week, implying she used to live under both identities. He adds that he'd seen her talking to members of one K gang and reported her to the police, and told her to vacate his house. Sachin recognizes this gang as belonging to one Munna, a drug peddler.
Scene 11
Purvi and Fredericks reveal details about the K gang to Daya sir and add that they've culled the list of members to include only the most trustworthy dealers, none of whom has been caught for over a year now. Sachin arrives with info about one of the dealers, Jaslok.
Scene 12
The team interrogates Jaslok at his house and reveal that he's moved away from the gang and enlisted help from a witness protection program. After some persuasion, he agrees to help them and reveals the location of the K-gang's hideout.
Scene 13
Sachin, Purvi and Pankaj arrive at the gang's hideout and kill some of them in a shootout, capturing two others. After some hard questioning, Munna confesses that Aditi/Nimisha used to be a top dealer in their gang 6 years ago without the police knowing; somehow she always knew where raids were going to happen. They snooped on her and found out that she's actually an undercover agent who was infiltrating their gang. They planned to catch her red-handed but her supposed accident took place before that. He adds that he'd received an anonymous call informing about Aditi's true identity, and that she worked for one AV Intelligence Agency.
Scene 14
Purvi and Sachin question the owner of the said agency, who does not identify Nimisha. Sachin says that Munna has told them everything; the man apologizes and says they usually keep info about their agents secret. He says Nimisha was working to unearth information about the K-gang's supposed involvement in a terrorist plot. Sachin says one of Nimisha's mates must've betrayed her; the man insists their agents are all above suspicion. Purvi says Nimisha's family is still in danger; Sachin decides to provide protection to them, and visit their house.
Scene 15
Purvi, Sachin and Pankaj arrive at Prem's house just as a gunshot rings out; they barge into the house and find three armed thugs preparing to kill the family; one of them shoots Prem in the shoulder. The cops fatally shoot all three intruders and call for an ambulance to assist the injured Prem. They try to interrogate the thugs' leader but he dies before revealing anything. They check his phone and find photos of Nimisha and her family in it, along with one of Dr. Tigmashu as well. Sachin construes that he's in danger as well.
Scene 16
Daya sir, Freddy sir, Purvi and Sachin arrive at the doctor's house and finds objects thrown about inside. They follow a blood trail and find the doc murdered inside. They search the house and Freddy sir and Daya sir inadvertently find a lion statue which operates a secret door on the wall. They follow it into a hidden room beyond and search it. Sachin finds lady's perfume and a hairbrush with woman's hair on it. Freddy sir finds lady's clothing in the cupboard. Purvi finds a diary, photo album and laptop. The diary turns out to be Nimisha's diary which shows that she was staying hidden with Dr. Tigmashu for all these years and he'd apparently done a fake postmortem report. The photo album reveals that he was a family friend of hers. The laptop contains videos of various locations. Daya sir sees a certain person's image there and construes he was the one who betrayed her.
Scene 17
We see a large house being guarded by armed goons. The team infiltrates it and starts dispatching them one by one. Daya sir and Purvi hear a man threatening Nimisha on the roof; we see that it's none other than Raghav, the owner of the AV Intelligence agency she worked for. Daya sir and Purvi arrive and defeat his goons in combat. 
Raghav hits Nimisha on the head and tries to flee but is cornered and captured (following a cool stunt by Daya sir). Daya sir hands him a tight SLAP (tm). 
Raghav confesses that he was a government agent who had been selling classified details to criminals. Nimisha found out about this and thus he decided to dispose of her. He hired the K gang to kill her, but Nimisha found out about it and staged a fatal accident to go into hiding. Later, when his company's documents were hacked, he suspected she was still alive and began targeting her family to draw her out of hiding. Daya sir condemns his vile crimes and says he'll certainly be executed. 
Scene 18
At the hospital, the doctor informs our team and Nimisha's family that she's fine now. The family happily reunites; Nimisha says she was forced to keep them in the dark for their own safety, and thanks the CID for their help, who in turn praise her bravery. The episode ends with a nice light moment shared between them all.
