Behind every successful man there is always a hand of a woman!

But in this show I will have to say behind this successful woman there is a hand of one particular man!
Before I say anything I just want to clarify, this is not a bashing post, if you simply want to take sides either of Jodha or Jalal then this post is definitely not for you. All along Jalal and Jodha has been a team for me, 2 sides of the same coin, I can't praise Jalal without Jodha and neither can I uphold Jodha without praising Jalal. Because of Jalal, Jodha is 'mahaan' and because of Jodha, Jalal today is human! So if you think you belong to Jodha team please don't read or comment and if you drool on Jalal only, then too this is not for you. I criticize and praise both accordingly and will continue doing so.

Every day I read innumerable posts about how inhuman Jalal is, how he is unable to understand Jodha and is so mean and cruel to her, what is in his heart that can't be deciphered by any one, how he is just like Adham Khan in his nature and deeds, how he is lord of polygamy and forced Jodha in this unthinkable hateful marriage and I just think how come I am looking at a bigger picture here and so many known and unknown nuances jumps at me giving me an illustrious exciting story whereas it doesn't to so many others!!??

And I hope so many people today got their answers from Jodha herself that an Emperor is supreme and over every one else. No laws or rules are bigger than the King himself and he makes the rules but rules doesn't make him. So if Jalal has married innumerable times, if he has conquered several kingdoms and proposed marriages to increase his boundary of his kingdoms then it was his privilege and most importantly his right! Nobody can question the emperor and follow what steps he takes in leading his life. Emperors do show the norms and ways of life to the society but they themselves are beyond these measures. So Jalal's marrying several times doesn't allow Adham to do so.

I applauded Jalal today because of the unconditional support he showered and showed Jodha for her belief, conviction and stand. He not only is attracted to her but respects her wholeheartedly. He knows Jodha is a woman of substance and will not say anything out of thin air to please him or her ego. If she is saying something there has to be a valid reason behind it.

Today in middle of the court proceedings his eyes were glued on Jodha and how she wanted to say something but couldn't because Hamida Bano stopped her and seeing only that he postponed the hearing or the verdict time to next day. Who does that? Even in today's age I wonder which husband supports their wife so much? Even before knowing the wife likes him or even before knowing what he feels for her! This is an applaudable fact! This was even before Jodha told him she doesn't hate him any more.

Jodha is self-righteous, upright, strong, principled but all said and done today Jodha wouldn't have been successful in any thing if Jalal had not supported her, had not sided with her in every step of her life directly or indirectly. If Jalal had not postponed the hearing then Maham would have given the verdict in favor of Adham and he would have snarled and smirked at Jodha later on saying he is superior to her and she will never be able to surpass him in power or in tactics.

Jodha is every thing good and almost holy but she lacks tact and diplomacy in every action. She is blunt, rude, straight forward but she forgets and doesn't realize that in every day life and in ruling a kingdom a ruler can't always be straight forward and blunt but he has to use other means to get into depth of matters and then pass a judgement. Not only he has to be tactful but he has to be diplomatic as well. This is exactly what Jalal is, yes he is 'tedha' and he uses 'tedhi' means to get to the bottom of things and that is why he can rule his empire so justly and thus became "Akbar the Great".

If Jalal had not supported Jodha every time be it in her suicide attempt cover up, her foolishness which could have cost Jalal's life during hunting, Jalal's unparallel gifting in Sukanya's marriage and making sure everything goes smoothly, Jalal's support to Jodha so that she could retain her religion, his support during fake pregnancy, his celebrating Jodha's birthday and gifting her from his heart and now in this track today. If Jalal as a Shahensha had not supported her then Jodha no matter how right and correct she was would never have been able to achieve this status. Just for this fact I applaud Jalal.

We don't know for sure what happened back in history in day to day life and exactly how Jalal and Jodha helped each other but in the show they are a team and we can't glorify Jodha without magnifying Jalal and similarly can't compliment Jalal without praising Jodha. They are incomplete without the other and we as viewers should also stop this taking sides and sing hymns favoring both! 😃 Just my 2 cents!

Thank you CV's for today's episode, it was meaningful and insightful to see Jalal's feelings for Jodha. He will fall in love first as well and hopefully will find an unique way to express his love and I am waiting to see that eagerly.
