Significance of Room No. 5003

I had read (sometime way back) that the LTFE (as called in 24) avoided doing anything that involved the number 8.
In fact, they would not sign papers, launch attacks, or have major meetings planned on the 8th, 17th or 26th of any month.
So ...it is significant that nothing went as per plan for the LTFE in Room No. 5003 (another numerological 8). The ATU had the upper hand and Puja wanted to take badla with Bala ... resulting in the necklace bomb being defused and Bala being stabbed.
I wonder was it just a coincidence or meticulous research that prompted the CVs to choose the number dreaded by the LTFE? 😲

Where did you read about it? Never heard of any LTFE or LTTE superstition.

Which one? Any search for LTFE comes here, to IF. No idea of superstition in LTTE either. Been searching for both. This show gets little coverage in papers.

I do not remember the name of the newspaper that mentioned it.
I searched the internet a few minutes ago and came up with this article that mentions the LTTE superstition about number 8 being unlucky.
Here is the URL to the article - check under the subsection with the title ATTACK

That article mentions Lankan Unit 53 often, which was hit quite hard, and fought them hard- and Bala's room number was 5003. That's a link I find here. Interesting.

As you overlooked the piece on number 8 and its SIGNIFICANCE to the LTFE -- I am quoting the text below
"While these moves were on the LTTE launched a massive attack on the armed forces shortly after midnight on Sunday. This was because of numerology as Sunday was the 17. Once midnight passed it was Monday 18th. There was a time when the LTTE would not engage in major operations on the 8th, 17th or 26th. Because No 8 was considered unlucky. Subsequently these superstitions became irrelevant but at this critical juncture the "Eight" phobia was on."
In addition, I see that you mistakenly think that the Sri Lankan Unit 53 is part of the LTFE!!😕😆
