I felt that RK knows that fame is intoxicating. He has got so addicted to it that he cannot do without the blind adulation of his fans. He has been desperately missing that during this period of ban. He hoped that his movie will not only prove that his fans still adore him and want him as much before but also that the producers will come running back to him to get him him in their films. His paralysis and the subsequent change in the script had put spokes in his dreams. His frustration kept building when he saw his wife excel in something she was new to. She was proving to be a formidable actress and he knew she deserved all the credit she was getting but then his ego was coming in the way of accepting it.
As long as she was a nobody who needed his guidance in making a mark in his world he was fine with her acting in his film. In fact he scolded her when she showed lack of professionalism. But when she started overtaking him due to circumstances out of his control, he could not digest her popularity.
He has started to see her slowly getting used to the adulation. He fears that once she gets intoxicated in the stardom, she will be lost to him. As long as both of them are drunk in the stardom, there was still some hope of his acceptance - although he may do so grudgingly. Here the fame seems to be flaming up on only one side. Although he still the super star, the speed at which her popularity is increasing is creating a strong sense of insecurity. He fears that he may no longer be the centre of her world once she is lost in her fame.
In RK's solar system, so far Madhu is the moon which circles the brighest star, the sun named RK. If she becomes another star, they may have to live in different celestial systems. He can never ever dream of circling around her for there is no room for two stars in this celestial system .
