Should wife always be shorter than husband

I'll clarify why I point out height difference in Alok and Ira. I don't think there's anything wrong if wife is taller, older, more qualified or whatever. I know society makes issues of this and some people even lament if their daughter grows "too tall" thinking they'd have difficulty in finding a groom for her (I disagree with such logic).

But I mainly point out because they do not seem like parents of a child as old as Shiv and Alok sometimes looks too young to be father of Sanchi also. Though it's proven Shiv is not their child but had Ira's child survived then it'd be as old as Shiv no? They both don't look that mature.

In times they married, I'm sure the virile armymen must have such biases in mind about marrying taller girls. In that light Alok-Ira looks more unconvincing.

Alok actually seems like complete miscast to me. He doesn't seem like an army guy either. Had he been in army then must have been a cook than a high ranking army officer. No build and no voice and not even attitude (disciplinarian or alert at least) of an army guy.

I don't understand why the wife should be shorter than husband and also why the wife is expected to look (or be) younger than the husband. In this forum,I read quite a few posts on these two topics and wondered the same - what if she is shorter or what if she looks older to her husband

BV creatives never bothered to 'age' the parents when their children grew up. So Bhairo, Sumitra, Basant and Gahna still look the same as they were when Anandi and Jagya were less than 10 year old. Now Anandi- Jagya are in their late twenties but the look of older generation is still the same. So Shiv's parents also do not look "their" age. Who could say that Ira-Alok were actually celebrating their 37th anniversary? Even if Alok-Ira were 22 years old at the time of their marriage - their present age should be 59 years - even Ira does not look 59 years old. Daddu must be in his seventies or early eighties- does he look like one?
