isnt it rude to compare gifts given people? it doesnt matter whether the gift is small or big, cheap or inexpensive, useful or useless a gift is a gift we should accept it wholeheartedly

In fact Jalal didn't compare, he just expressed his happiness in either way that's it and the inner meaning of the gift was shown here so do not misunderstand my dear...Chil yaar

more than being rude...i love the honesty of jallu...he told what he feels from his soul...😛
in tdys time we feel its rude...but in 16th century with a king with so many wives...they had to do this only...no choice...

I felt the same. It isn't becoming to discuss gifts. Just accept it wholeheartedly. But I don't think Jallu wanted to be rude here. He was probably just trying to appreciate the gift publicly.

I haven't watched. The update was enough to put me off. Not only has jalal been dumbed down in the last few days he was also made to look very insensitive . A king is supposed to be sensitive in politics and in polygamy as a husband. Is this the same man who went to talk to ruku outside during the ceremony sensing her pain ? She even said my prayer will be the first for your child . She hasn't yet turned into a vamp but such moves will rapidly push her there. There were many ways for jalal to express his happiness today, what he did was very unshehensha like and definitely not a best friend at all to ruks. Just a man in awe of Jo.

They stole the gift idea from the movie but the execution was far from satisfactory . Her nudging him in the right direction was very subtle in the movie. Not so here because he looked dumb. Not the perceptive man he came across as during the kite sequence . A man and wife come to court over extra marital affairs but he doesn't know about lack of water. Wth

This birthday track has been less about him and more about glorifying Jo . I wanted her to be redeemed but not like this . At the cost of the hero.

The whole idea of discussing who's gift was better even though perhaps unintentionally by Jalaal did make it seem more like a competition in which Jodha emerged the winner.
That aspect of the evening celebration could've been delivered better, no doubt.

Me too. I didnt lik the way he announced it in the darbar. I wud hav been devastated if i was Ruqaiya. I mean yes,Jodha's gift was more in depth, but i didnt lik the way it was executed in the darbar.
Instead,i liked how Jalal described it to Ruqaiya later on. That her gift increasd his shaan and Jo's gift made it possible for him to deserve the shaan.
That was an apt way to put it. I wish he wud ve used the same description in the darbar.
I hav always sympathised with Ruqaiya-thw wife who has found solace in being his best friend, bcoz he made her believe he cudnt possibly love anyone. Its just not fair to her.
Anyway, atleast we ll get some Jalal Jodha romance now.

As much as i dislike ruq in serial, i did feel bad for her especially when he announced first that he liked her gift most and then he said jodha's was best. Although, i loved it when he called jodha next to him.

He could have been diplomatic or honest and he chose to be honest OR may be he should not have picked best.
