Jalal takes back his words in the Diwaan-E-Khaas by stating that, Jodha has given him his best bday gift & he takes back his words.

But, in a way - i felt bad for Ruqs...it needn't have been a 'who gave the best gift competition!' Jalal could have just said Jodha Begum's gift was also very very good instead of taking back his compliments to Ruqs...

I'd have felt very hurt if I was in her place too...I guess this is how begums would have been pitted against each other those days...😕

Thankfully he did go to comfort her next day...and again, when she asked him will Jodha take my place of friendship too...I felt 'awww' for her...Life is cruel!
