Saying that the Agra Fort was Bustling would be an understatement; there was literally no place to stand still. Everyone, from the Baandi to the Mallika-e-Azam herself, was busy today. The Shehenshah is going to arrive today with his new Begum, a Hindu Princess.

Hameeda Bano Begum was the happiest today; she always wanted a Rajput Bride for his son, Jalal. Having their life saved by Rajputs and Jalal being born in a Rajputana Palace made her long for a bride from their side. She was anticipating seeing her Bahu; she heard that, Jodha, the new bride was a rare exquisite, beauty with brains combination.

Finally, Shehenshah arrived at the Agra Fort with his new Bride. Jalal climbed off the horse and greeted everyone with a warm smile. He had annoyed his wife, Jodha a lot in morning. It was fun to pull her leg, she reacted quickly and always in way that made him laugh or smile.

Having greeted everyone with an Aadaab, he proceeded towards his wife's Paalki. The servants kept it on the ground by then and Jodha was just about to get out of it before Jalal reached there and extended his hand to her with a mischievous smile. Hameeda smiled at this. It was a good sign; Jalal never had done anything like this for his any other Begum, maybe this is what Maulvi Sahab meant by "changing of events"

At first Jodha looked at him puzzled, but then she looked at the waiting faces of people there. She placed her hand on his extended one nervously; He closed his fingers on her hand, making a secure grip and then helping her out in getting off the Paalki.

As soon as Jodha's face came in view, the crowd gasped and was shocked in a pleasant manner. She was truly a "Gulaab". She was very beautiful to even blink for a second. Hameeda was delighted to see Jodha.

Jodha was looking at her feet, she was slightly nervous meeting these Mughals. "Begum Jodha, yeh hai hamari Ammijaan aur iss Saltanat ki Mallika-e-Azam" Jodha looked up a little to see a warm and smiling face of a lady whom Jalal introduced as his Mother.

"Pranaam A...Ammijaan!!!!" she folded her hands in greeting while surprising Jalal with using the word Ammijaan for her mother. While he looked at her in pleasant shock, Hameeda cupper her cheeks and said kissing on her forehead "Subanallah hamari Bahu-Begum behad khoobsurat hai!!!" and held his chin up with a small but proud smile. No Doubt, his Jodha Begum was B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L in all sense.

Hameeda welcomed Jodha with the Bride welcoming songs of her homeland, Amer, sung by the artists and also took the responsibility of showing Jodha the Palace, to which Jalal's face was worth watching. He was like, Awesome! You impressed my mother in flat 2 minutes of meeting her.

Jodha's maids were unpacking her items, while Jodha sat their thinking about her future in Mughal household. She came with heavy heart but seeing Ammijaan and all those kind people like Atgah sahab, Bakshi Bano, Reva, Maham Anga jii and her Daughter in-law Javeda.

Javeda, is a nice at heart and a very kind lady. Jodha smiled as she thought about the conversations she had with Javeda. She had told Jodha that she will prepare her special Sevaayiiya for her, whose taste Jodha will remember throughout her life.

"Begum Jodha?" Jalal's voice brought her back to earth from her thoughts

"Jee" She stood up

"Aap itna ghabraayi huyi kyu hai?? Hum aapko koyi sazza dene nahi aaye, Barsharte aapne koyi sazza dene waal kaam na kiya ho" He smirked

Jodha fumed a little at his taunt, but then composed herself "Aapka kya bharosa, kab bina wajeh Dand de de, waise yeh toh hunar hai aapko, choti choti baato par dand de dena" Jodha spoke from what she has heard

Jalal smirked at her retort, instead he was supposed to be angry and mete out a punishment for her , taunting the Shehenshah, but somehow he couldn't bring himself to do that and also couldn't stop himself from smiling.

"Ab kis ko saza mukkamal karni hai kis ko nahi, yeh bhi aapse puuchna padega"

Jodha opened her mouth to throw some words of protest but was cut off by Jalal

"Isse pehele aapse jhagadne me hum yaha aane ka asli karan bhool aaye hum aapko bta de ki aaj sham ko Jashn hai aapke aane ki khushi me..."

"Ammijaan ke kehene par" He was quick to add

Then he clapped, A baandhi entered with a tray with some content covered with a silk cloth.

"Yeh who kapde hai jo aap sham ke jashn me pahnengi"

"Par hum utsav ke liye aapke diye huye vastr kyu pehene???"

"Aaah!!! hum yahii soch rahe the ki aapki taraf se pratirodh kyu nahi aaya abtak???"He smirked again

"Kyunki yeh vastr sirf hamari nahi, Ammijaan ki taraf se bhi hai. Ab kamse kam hamara nahi unka maan toh rakhiye" And he went away giving her an Adaab

He was successful in hiding the fact the he was the main participant in organizing a Function for Jodha Begum. He doesn't want her to mistake his behavior, and think that he likes her. Because he doesn't likes her, does he???
