As the new season is about to start, there are many questions members have about it!
Here are some frequently asked questions about the new season that I put together on this thread. Please read this before posting questions on the forum! đł

Q. When is the third season of Indian Idol starting?
Ans: Friday May 4th, 2007 at 9:00 pm. It will be airing in India at this date and time. In USA and Canada, it will also air on May 4th, 2007 at 9:00 pm EST. For PST timings, and for other countries, we'll let you know as soon as we get more details.
Q. What days will II3 be aired?
Ans: This season II3 will be aired on Fridays and Saturdays at 9:00 pm.
Q. Who are the Judges of II3?
Ans: Anu Malik, Alisha Chinoi and Udit Narayan are the new judges of II3. Javed Akhtar is the 4th judge. Sonu Niigaam and Farah Khan will not be a part of II3 anymore.
Q. Is Himesh Reshammiya judging this season?
Ans. No Himesh Reshammiya is NOT judging the third season. All were only rumours.
Q. Why did Sonu Niigaam quit?
Ans. Sonu did not want to be a part of II2 either, but he agreed because his close friend Tarun Katial was the creative head of SonyTV last year. This year Tarun is no longer the creative head of SonyTV, and Sonu felt that the competition was not setting good standards. He was also getting busy with his stage shows and personal life. So he decided to leave the show. The new creative head of SonyTV, Sandip Sikcand also did not bother to ask Sonu to join again. Sonu had an awesome time judging for the first 2 seasons though.
Q. Why did Farah Khan quit?
Ans. She was getting busy with her new films in line. She needed more time to concentrate on her work.
Q. Who are the hosts of II3?
Ans. Mini Mathur and Hussain Kuwajerwal are the hosts of II3. Aman Verma will not be a part of II3 anymore.
Q. Will we see II1 and II2 contestants be a part of II3?
Ans. It has been said that some contestants such as Aditi Paul, Rahul Vaidya and Meenal Jain were judging and the auditions in different cities. We will have to wait and watch for actual news. Abhijeet Sawant, Amit Sana and Amey Date were also spotted promoting the new season.
