Today a lot of issues were tied from the past and lot of issues were opened for future tracks.
Ruqaiya and Jodha's interaction reminded me of the time when Jalal got better after the tiger attack and Jodha gave more importance for Jalal's life as a husband over Shahenshato Hamida Bano and Ruqaiya when asked by Maham gave his life more importance as a Shahensha rather than a friend. That same concept was brought over face to face by Ruqaiya and Jodha today. CV's as I wrote earlier that you all are at a quandary with the character of Ruqaiya and today I felt the same. Yes she is proud to be begum-e-khaas, she is blinded by the power of her designation, she loves to rule the harem, her becoming marium-uz-zamani was more precious than to be a mother, she is dominating, she is manipulative, she revels in the fact that she controls Jalal's thought process but, and yes there is a big but, she does LOVE Jalal. How come that was changed today by you all CV's? When Jalal was in death bed after the tiger attack her grief was the utmost, she even wanted to die first by taking poison if Jalal died, her concern for Jalal is always primary most, she looks out for him and in not so many other words she has often proclaimed she wants him, likes him and loves him then why the sudden back tracking today in Ruqaiya's character? Her immediate action in sending messenger to Jalal during the religious fiasco was noteworthy, her sacrificing to go to Ajmer Sharif because it was for Jalal's well being is also noteworthy, her taking care of Jalal and his needs and yet she couldn't answer whether she loves Jalal or not as a wife was important to watch. Just because Jodha in future will love Jalal the most and no one can outweigh her love and that is why Ruqaiya has to be the second best?
I don't like Ruqaiya at all and obviously Jalal and Jodha are the protagonists for me but I just want to know the reason for the change of stance that you all took about Ruqaiya. I want Jodha to want and love Jalal the most, I want Jalal to reciprocate her feelings and I want Ruqaiya to be in the backdrop but I just wanted to know what is your reason for showing Ruqaiya like this! That was quite a change of attitude today.
Acting wise both Lavina and Paridhi were great. Lavina brought out that royal audacity in her when she posed those questions to Jodha. And Jodha was way too civil in her response though firm when compared to her interaction with Jalal. With him she can be out right rude but with Ruqaiya she was totally civil and decent. But I loved her questions directed at Ruqaiya and also showed Jodha is crystal clear about her stand as far her emotions about Jalal is concerned.
About Jalal and Jodha scene I was almost laughing at the bait thrown by Jalal at Jodha. Oh you can't stay away from me and so to talk to me you are looking for excuses! 😆 Jalal you do want her to talk to you, don't you? You want her to come to you under some pretext or the other and thus your challenging her so! 😉 Loved the comfort and 'haq' showed by Jodha to Jalal. 😃 I don't need any excuses to come and talk to you because I am your begum!! Hoot, hoot! 😃 Kaan taras gaye the yeh sunne ke liye! Finally she has accepted that she is his wife and she has the right over him and can go to him whenever she wants to without any excuse! Go Jodha! 😳
So Bakshi Bano issue is not over yet! Jodha is clever, she didn't object to Hamida Bano's planning and order but she is pushing her case towards Jalal, again that 'haq' is coming in the picture. Inspite of knowing Jalal is against Bakshi she still is pushing his buttons and constantly asking him to forgive Bakshi rather than arguing with Hamida, Maham or Ruqaiya! She is directly going to the authority now! 😉 Before most of the time her appeals was to Hamida rather than to Jalal but slowly the scales are tilting. I think this whole week till Jalal's birthday is celebrated this Bakshi Bano track will be on.
Ok after Jodha's birthday track I posed a question in the forum what will Jodha gift be to Jalal on his birthday! Now the time has come to ponder on that. Madam gave a lot of attitude to Jalal about accepting his gift and now I will see what she will come up with for Jalal. I think it will be something related to Bakshi and Jalal, either a painting of both or some memoir of their childhood together or something that will remind him of his little sister. Let's see what you all have in store for us CV's.
I loved the symbolism of the kite flying! Jalal took it high soaring upwards and when it was riveting around and falling down Jodha took over and took it upwards again! This is the pavement laid by CV's for future as Jodha will be equal in power to the Shahensha and she will manage and rule the kingdom with equal proficiency and success. She will take over the overseas trade in managing the routes of ships to 'Haj', her interest in commercial trade which will make her the richest woman in the empire, her authority in issuing 'farman' which only she could do after Shahensha himself...all these power and capability was portrayed today when she took over the kite flying with effective competency and Jalal looked back with a little admiration but didn't offer to help or correct her in any way showing he has full faith on her aptitude. Good going CV's! 👏
Now to the upcoming Adham marriage track which again took place last week but was made more prominent today. This track will not surface before Bakshi Bano track is over and so till then Jodha begum will not take direct initiative or interest in Adham's inclination towards a minor. We saw that even when Moti very clearly pointed it out to Jodha today. Other times Jodha would direct 100's of questions to get to the bottom of it and then run to the Shahensha with her bag full of questions or complaints but she didn't show much interest on this. So I assume it will be taken up once Bakshi is forgiven by Jalal. And I also hope then Adham's entering the harem after Moti bai will also come to the surface exposing Adham's real nature and character.
I don't know where to put Javeeda! A person can be naive, gullible and innocent but being plain stupid is another case altogether. How can a wife not realize how her husband is looking at the opposite sex?! Affection as a parent is completely different from a lustful look.She told Maham that he looked at that girl just like he once looked at her with love and affection and yet she thought he was liking like a doting parent!?! Too much!
Anyway back in those days even if she opposed Adham she couldn't have done much, first their religion permits to polygamy and moreover Adham would have said since Javeeda was unable to bore him his heir he is marrying second time. Moreover back then a girl at 14 or 15 was not only married but even gave birth to their first child by that age. So she couldn't have stopped him on his mission in any way. I don't know on what ground Jodha will stop him if he wants to marry that girl! It was permissible both in religion and in society back then.
Anyway if Javeeda is stupid and idiot enough to think Adham had that patriarchal affection towards that girl then I have nothing to say!
Maham being Maham knew immediately something was wrong somewhere about Adham's so-called affection and attention towards the maid. Question is what will be her stand on this issue when it will surface! Will she oppose Adham or will she side with him because Jodha will oppose Adham? Will wait and watch as usual.
And lastly Sharif's intentions are clarified fully today! I asked myself several times the exact question that ally asked Sharif today. Why did he want to separate Jalal and Jodha? That would not get him the throne then why?! And today the curtain was raised from this issue. I thought maybe Jodha knows what he was up to conspiring against Jalal with Adham and that is why he wanted Jodha to be out of the picture but his aim and target was much higher!
Adham restricts himself to "maid" class but Sharif goes right at the top to the royalty! He wanted to marry Jodha, arre apni shaqal kabhi dekha hai aaine mein?? So in future maybe we will get a scenario where he will try to force himself on Jodha or kidnap her or some way get her under his power and Jalal being the knight in shining armor will be there to save her from Sharif and that will be the final day of Sharif! The base of that scenario was also laid down today.
And now the precap!! Jodha's slowly, tentatively and gingerly touching Jalal by his shoulder! She was skeptical initially in her touch but the remarkable point to notice was Jalal's surprise and reaction to her touch. He was almost shaken and his eyes were stormy with emotion for Bakshi and Jodha's probing. This was the second time Jodha held Jalal on her own. First time when she went to ask for Moti's life, she held her hand on spur of the moment and when Jalal looked at her hand then she realized what she did and immediately left him but he promptly pulled her to himself and looked at her lips and told her that yes Shahensha's words can't be taken back meaning he has promised to her and thus he won't touch her unless she agrees to it and leaves her there. But today in the precap it was a voluntary touch of Jodha and she knew what she was doing and most importantly even when Jalal reacted as if he got a shock she didn't take her hand away from his shoulder. It was good to see the progress of comfort and trust from Jodha's side.
I will not take into account when Jodha saved Jalal riding on the horse after the tiger attack or his head and shoulder massage commands or her taking care of his innumerable wounds. Those situations were called upon by Jalal or under dire situation where she had to act fast and quickly but today was a self willing voluntary touch.
Will eagerly wait for tomorrow's precap. CV's as I said today was almost a filler episode with many tracks either tied from the past or cementing of the bases for future tracks. Hope we will get more Jalal and Jodha scenes instead of the routined 1 scene per episode. We watch the show for only Jalal and Jodha, so please show them more together not just in the same frame with innumerable people around. Thank you!
