They all come back from Swiss trip.
Tulsi has Karan come back home. Savita isn't happy, even though she also knew that Karan sacrificed for Ansh.
Mihir-Savita blame Nandani for the problems and Nandani leaves the house.
Tanya takes Nandani in. Nandani finds out that Tanya is Ansh's friend and helped to create problems between her and Karan. Because if Tanya wasn't there, Karan-Nandani would have confessed to each other rather than be in misunderstandings about each other. Nandani is upset and angrily confronts Tanya.
But later, when Tanya keeps her in her house, Nandani forgives her. Meanwhile Tanya is silently wanting Karan.
Nandani files for divorce and tells the Viranis on Diwali, Tulsi and Karan support her.
In comes Meera (positive) and fights for Nandani's divorce.
Because Nandani can get the divorce, Ansh's lawyer advises Ansh to ruin Nandani's name to make her character look bad. So Ansh decides to get Karan-Nandani in the room with journalists present but instead of Karan-Nandani it is Karan-Tanya.
Nandani thinks that Karan is with her for pity sake and turns him away from her, while Tanya confesses to Karan she loves him. He tells her he loves Nandani only. Tanya talks to Nandani and convinces her that Karan loves only Nandani.
Karan-Nandani make up. Nandani gets her divorce when Tanya testifies against Ansh, admitting she helped Ansh. Karan is angry with Tanya for what she's done but Nandani convinces Karan to forgive Tanya. Karan does.
Ansh cannot tolerate Nandani being Karan's, so he kidnaps her. Tulsi runs after Ansh, trying to stop him from taking Nandani over the cliff. But Ansh confesses to killing Vishal and Tulsi shoots him and is sent to 3 years of jail.
During Harsh-Mohini's mehndhi reception, Nandani faints. They find out Nandani is pregnant. Nandani wants to abort the child and Tanya encourages her to do so. But the abortion will kill Nandani's life, so Karan stops her and tells her to give birth and he will give the child his love, because it is a part of her (Nandani). Nandani agrees to keep the child.
Tulsi is sent to jail and before she left she told Baa that Karan-Nandani remind her of her and Mihir, which is why she wishes that they get married. With Baa's encouragement, wedding date is settled but Mihir is against it. Karan-Nandani don't want to get married without Tulsi's presence, but Tanya convinces them they should. She talks Mihir into agreeing for Karan-Nandani's marraige.
Tanya is shown at Karan-Nandani's wedding trying to be happy. When she sees Nandani's happiness she thinks: I pray that meri nazar tumhari khushi ko na lage.
Tulsi comes to Karan-Nandani's wedding and blesses them.
They spend happy moments.
Nandani is in coma after delivery. Karan is shattered and the doctors try to take her life support away but Karan fights to keep the tubes on her.
Karan cannot bring himself to take care of Bhoomi as he blames Bhoomi for taking away Nandani.
Tanya takes the responsibility upon herself and takes care of Bhoomi.
Viranis see this and decide that Tanya should marry Karan so Bhoomi can have a mother's love. Karan is AGAINST this marriage and plainly tells Tanya-Damini-Ganga that he cannot marry Tanya as he doesn't love her.
But Tulsi later tells him that Bhoomi needs a mother's love. So Karan unwillingly agree.
They come to the temple and Karan sees only Nandani everywhere. Sahil sees Karan's pain. And when there is time to take the pheras he stops in the middle, unable to go through with it. But Bhoomi cries and when he sees Tanya with Bhoomi, he goes ahead, BUT HE SEES NANDANI'S FACE WHILE COMPLETING THE RASAMS.
3 years pass. Tulsi comes home and finds out that Karan has not given Tanya the "wifely right" as she sees them on different beds. She encourages Karan to move on in life. Karan does but he still comes to see Nandani.
When he comes to the hospital to see Nandani on her birthday, Tanya shows up with a cake. Then, Bhoomi asks Tanya if that lady is her Maasi Maa, as Baa told her. Karan hears this and is shocked. But Tanya says: Yes. She is my best friend and sister.
During Karan-Tanya's wedding anniversary, Karan gets the call that Nandani is alive and rushes to go see her while Tanya just cries about what will happen to her now. Tanya also finds out she is pregnant (with Manthan).
Karan-Nandani have a very painful and beautiful reunion. Karan's happiness is alive and it shows on his face. After 3 years he looked alive.
When Nandani asks for Tanya only then does Karan remember Tanya. Also during this conversation, the viewer finds out that Nandani had named "Bhoomi" Bhoomi and had told Tanya about it, but all members think it was Tanya's idea to call her "bhoomi."
Karan wants to tell Nandani the truth but doctors tell him any shocking news will kill Nandani. Karan who cannot lose Nandani at all especially after spending 3 years without her, decides to keep quiet. But Tanya isn't happy as she wants Nandani to find out the truth immediately.
Nandani is hurt when Bhoomi only calls her Maasi Maa. Also, viewers get to see Tanya repeatedly wanting to tell Nandani that she is Karan's wife but Viranis stop her.
Nandani sees that Tanya's sacrificed 3 years of her life in taking care of Bhoomi and tells Tanya she should think about herself. She tries to set Tanya up with Karan's friend but Tanya says no.
Nandani finds out through Karan's journal that he thinks that he has fallen in love with someone else. She is shocked. She confronts him and he admits its the truth. And with the shocking news, she faints.
Nandani is taken to the hospital, unconcious and Karan crying. Tanya tells Karan that she is willing to share him but NANDANI will NEVER share him.
Doctor is angry with Karan for telling Karan the truth and tells him if he wants Nandani to be a part of his life, then he should not tell her anything. Karan tells Tulsi that NO RELATIONSHIP is above his love for Nandani and that he will NOT risk losing Nandani.
Later, Karan tells Tanya he understands her situation but he cannot do anything for her. Tanya cryingly leaves SN.
Nandani is upset Tanya left SN without a word. Karan blames her. Mohini tells her that Karan is upset with her because he is in lvoe with Tanya. Nandani ignores Mohini's talk, confident that Karan-Tanya will never betray her.
Nandani is trying to win Bhoomi's love but Bhoomi can only think about Tanya as her mother. Karan constantly comforts her.
Karan finds out that Bhoomi and Tanya are meeting secretly, he tells Tanya that he has a responsibility to her and that she is a part of his life. So he meets her secretly with Bhoomi.
Later, Karan tells Tanya that he cannot betray Nandani and that he loves Nandani and cannot risk losing her. And that Tanya should not expect anything from him, no kids, nothing. Tanya who is pregnant, doesn't say a word to him but accepts his condition.
Then Gujral who is Ansh's foster father is threatening the family, and Karan. He always tells Karan to prepare divorce papers and that soon Nandani and Bhoomi will be with him.
Later, Nandani is looking around for Bhoomi and Gujral calls her and tells her where Bhoomi is. Nandani goes to the place to see Tanya there. Tanya confesses she is in love with someone living in SN. Nandani urges her to tell her and she will make sure that Tanya gets what she wants. But Karan comes up and Tanya cannot say anything further.
Then Karan is accused of killing Gujral.
During his court case, Tanya tells Meera that she will do anything to save Karan and to tell court that Karan was with her that night, a lie to save Karan. But Meera tells Tanya that this will possibly kill Nandani but Tanya doesn't care.
So Tanya tells everyone in court that Karan is married to her and that he was with her that night. Nandani steps in to hear this and she runs out of the court room in shock, accusing them both of betraying her and her feelings.
Tanya runs after her and tells Nandani that its a lie to save Karan. Nandani accepts this lie and goes back to court with Tanya.
In the court, Karan realizes that he cannot lose Nandani and accepts the blame, before its revealed he is also married to Tanya. Nandani goes unconcious at hearing that Karan is sentenced to death.
Viranis found out that Nandani is pregnant.
Karan is told the news. He is happy and seeing his happiness Tanya decides to tell him she is pregnant too. But Karan is depressed about not being able to be there for his child so Tanya doesn't tell him. Karan tells Tanya to take care of his Nandani.
Tanya goes back into SN.
Tulsi finds out someone else killed Gujral and Karan is taking up the blame. She goes out to find the investigator with Tanya helping her.
They accuse Nandani but Nandani says she didn't do it.
In between, Tanya tells Nandani's doctor that she is pregnant with Karan's child.
Nandani also brings home cooked for Karan and defends him in front of Savita and other members of the family talking bad about Karan.
Mihir decides to take the blame as Karan has a long life ahead of him.
Nandani goes to jail on Kurva Chauth to be with Karan but is told by the constable that Karan's wife is already there. She is in shock. She goes inside the jail to see Tanya-Karan talking and holding hands.
She hears Tanya saying that she will lvie the rest of her life as his widow. He tells her he is happy he will die with this secret. Nandan is in shock and utterly betrayed.
She talks to Tulsi who tells her that Tanya isn't at fault and it was a marraige of circumstances. She tells Nandani that Tanya-Karan were living happly until Nandani came back and caused an upset in Tanya's happy marriage. She told her that Tanya hasn't done anythign wrong, but she has.
Nandani is upset to hear this and very subdued as well. She finds out that Tanya is pregnant and goes to court.
She confesses she killed Gujral. She says that she took this step for her friend who is also pregnant with Karan's child.
Karan and Tanya are shocked that Nandani found out the truth.
Outside the jail, Nandani asks for TUlsi's forgiveness and cries on Tulsi's shoulder. Tulsi comforts her but Tulsi is also in shock.
She and Karan hug. He is crying as she is going away for 14 years. The background music tells the viewers that he will wait for her and eternally will love her only.
She meets Tanya. Tanya feels guilty but Nandani assures her she did nothing wrong. She tells Karan to take Tanya's hand and tells them her job is done. She goes away and sits in the police van.
Karan runs after the police van, crying and in shock at being parted from her for 14 years. Mihir-Baa-Tulsi all walk together after Karan, upset and crying as well to see Nandani go away. While Tanya stands there alone.
Tanya comes to SN.
Karan tells Tanya that his life and his heart is only Nandani's. No other person can ever take Nandani's spot in his life and his heart and not to have any expectations from him. Tanya agrees and tells him she loves him and that's enough for her.
Karan is shown visiting Nandani with Mandira is always there, ready to take care of Nandani, who is pregnant. Mandira threatens Karan that she will take away his and Nandani's child. Karan is upset and tells Mandira she will never succeed.
Tanya was shown visiting Nandani once. Where Mandira tells her that if she will accept her (Mandira) as her mother-in-law, she will make sure that Nandani never comes back to Karan.
Other than that, no other member had bothered to ask about Nandani or even think about her and her child.
Then they show Karan accepting Tanya and his child, with happiness, trying to move on. But he is always there visiting Nandani and he puts Nandani first above all. (This was shown when Manthan was kidnapped from the hospital. While Tanya was crying and saying she wants her child back at any cost (even if it ruins Karan's plans to bring Meera punishment), Nandani had called Karan and had asked him to come to the police station, and he went without any hesitations.)
But Tulsi is kicked out of the house thanks to Meera's misunderstandings. And Tulsi tells Karan to stay in this house to take care of it.
News is that Tulsi has died in a bus accident and Karan goes into shock.
Leap happens...
Now there are remaining questions:
-Why is Tanya complaining 20 years later when Karan had told her what's in his heart 20 years before?
-What happened to Karan-Nandani's child? Did Mandira take their child away.
-If Mandira did take away their child, did Tanya plot with Mandira to keep Nandani away and their child so her status won't be hurt?
But these are the facts:
1) Karan since then has only loved Nandani. His love for her has grown only in the past 20 years. Because Nandani and Tulsi had been away from him for 20 years, it had affected him to a certain extent to change. What was worse the constant taunt from Sahil that Nandani did never come back to him. (Rewind back to intial episodes after the leap)
2) Nandani did come back to SN but went away so Tanya's life won't be ruined. (If you ask me, she had always had it in the back of her mind that she will not come back to Karan, as no matter what she had been betrayed. Nandani had once said in her mind that "She never found the happiness a married woman does and wishes that her daughter's husband always remains her only." Rewind back to Bhoomi getting married and Nandani calling Bhoomi)
3) Tanya accepted her no position in Karan's life and heart, so why complain now? (If a guy told me that there is no spot for me in his life, why should I take that 2nd spot in his life? Why build up unnecessary hope especially when you have seen his pain for another woman? Worse why blame his mother and the other woman for the pain I brought onto myself only?!)
4) Karan's growing attachment and fondness for Bhoomi is because of Nandani only. Because he saw Nandani in Bhoomi.
5) Nandani had never wanted to share Karan and who can blame her? Which is why when she had come to SN and seen Tanya-Bhoomi, she realized that if she comes back, she will ruin Tanya's life as she (Nandani) will not want to share Karan with anybody.
Let's see what happens now. But after this posting, there should not be any inexcusable comments directed towards KN and their fans, because this is the true summary of what has happened in the show. If you want proof, I will bring it to you without any hesitations 😊
I hold Karan about 40% responsible for this mess his because he had told Tanya that no one can take Nandani's spot in his life and heart. While Tanya goes 60% because she knew what she was doing when she made her decisions, yet she is crying and blaming others as if she had a gun held to her at all times to make her decisions.
But it has been Nandani who had been innocent in all of this and took the punishment of life the hardest. She made her decision about not retrning to Karan after coming out of jail but I don't see her cry or blame others for her deicison. She accepted this decision and moved on. Even right now, she came to SN for KT's sake.
