Sachin Tendulkar Leaves India In Tears

When you speak of cricket, I'd speak of Tendulkar.' - West Indies rival Brian Lara. This is so true. All those who have watched Cricket, will surely agree to this. After 24yrs, SRT aka Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was playing his 200th Test Match and final one. It was surely going to be a big loss for Indian Cricket Team and not to forget the Game itself. 32,000 people at Wankhede Stadium and more that billion were glued to their television sets. All they wanted was to see Sachin Bat for one last time.

Although he made 74 in his last innings, the shots that he played were just too classy. As always his fans wanted a century, but that was not the case. Well, India did win the match and won the series 2-0. So, now everyone was set to witness something that no cricketer has experienced before. It was time for "Guard of Honour" by the Indian team and then the most touching speech that you can ever hear. Yes, that came from Sachin. Normally we expect Sachin to let his bat do all the talking. But as this being his last match, he was set to give a speech.

Following are some of the excerpts from Sachin's speech:

"My mother; I don't know how she dealt with such a naughty guy like me. She took care of me to be healthy. She started praying for me even before I started my career and I think those prayers gave me strength."

"The most beautiful thing happened to me in 1990 when I met my wife, Anjali. Those were special years and it has continued and will always continue that way."

"My career started at 11. My brother took me to Achrekar sir and that is the best to have happened to me".

"Then the two precious diamonds of my life - Sara and Arjun. I've missed out on several birthdays, holidays, annual days and sports days. Time has flown by, my daughter is 16, son is 14"

"I know my speech has become long. I want to thank people who have flown in from different parts of the world. I want to thank my fans from the bottom of my heart. Sachin, Sachin' will reverberate in my ears till I stop breathing."

Well, me sure that most of you might have tears in their eyes whenever you read or watch his speech. As they say Legends never retire, Sachin will always remain in our hearts and whenever people talk about Cricket, Sachin will be surely talked about. The moment Sachin has come to bat, we have all at least once in our life must cheered - Sachin... Sachin... Those who have watched him Live at the stadium were lucky to watch God on the cricket field.
